Trans Lesbian (Trans With Female) (Porn Category Spotlight)
Trans porn has come a long way in the past two decades. It has managed to shed some of the derogatory labels that were attached to it in the early years, all while moving out of niche status and into porn’s mainstream. One particular subgenre within the category has helped trans porn gain new fans in recent years: trans with female. This genre, which pairs transgender performers with cisgendered women, is often a point of entry for porn watchers who have not previously viewed trans-themed porn. With a popular female star as the headliner, such scenes catch the attention of a wide general audience.
In a 2019 chat with AVN about the trans-with-female series Transfixed, director Bree Mills described the wide appeal of the genre: “[The first Transfixed scene] got really, really strong viewership. Gamma did an exit poll (we do a lot of surveys with members), which found about 80 percent of viewers had never watched a trans scene before but were curious to watch this because of the way it was presented, because of Cherie [DeVille], because it was created by myself, who had a background in other lesbian projects … and almost a hundred percent of the people wanted to see more. It hit the nail on the head for me. If you make a series like this, it kind of transcends the trans market. You’re going to get people who are interested in that, but you’re also going to get people who are interested in watching their favorite cis performer do this scene, or just lesbian fans in general.”
Stylistically, the genre overlaps principally with lesbian porn. “I don’t shoot these scenes any differently than I shoot a lesbian scene. I don’t fake orgasms. If a trans woman cannot ejaculate, I don’t fake it,” Mills said in the same 2019 AVN interview. While the genre has recently gained more attention, it has been a part of trans porn for many years (as of this writing, the Adult Empire category includes more than 600 titles).

(It opens with hard-driving music as Katrina patrols the streets in a sleek car, before finding the elegant and beautiful Aubrey on a street corner.)
Trans Glam
As arguably the most popular current cisgendered female performer, Angela White’s scenes always carry an extra heft. Trans Glam became an instant bestseller when it was released, thanks to the perfect storm of Jonni Darkko‘s masterfully beautiful style, the trans-with-women theme, and an amazing scene with Aubrey Kate and Angela White. “I’ve had the privilege of shooting with Aubrey on a couple of occasions,” White tells AVN. “In our first scene together for Jonni Darkko’s Trans Glam, Aubrey brought so much raw passion and intensity that I knew we would need to shoot together again.” (And indeed they did, on Drive).
The Transfixed series
The brainchild of Adult Time’s Bree Mills, the Transfixed series is undoubtedly one of the top places to find premium trans-with-women porn. “Our ambition with Transfixed was to collaborate with the beautiful trans and cis women in our industry to create art, capture authentic chemistry, and offer our spin on this side of lesbian sexuality,” Mills told AVN of the series.
