It’s already been a massive year for Natassia Dreams. She served as Transgender Erotica Awards Red Carpet host, appeared in a Calvin Klein ad, and shot her first scene after gender confirmation surgery. In this new Q&A, she delves into Pride Month, the challenges faced by trans performers, and much more.

Are you doing anything exciting to celebrate Pride Month in June? 

Just living day to day is my PRIDE ie surviving< and celebrating me PRIDE campaign for Calvin Klein, doing press for them and probably hanging with my friends.

How have you witnessed the trans genre of porn evolve since you began your career?

For one the derogatory description have been eliminated and I see more ‘crossover’ of perfomers now on their own free will, when before that was frowned upon.

Who do you consider good advocates for the LGBTQ community?

The people in the forefont fighting the fight not the people on the podiums.

What advice would you give someone looking to join the industry as a trans performer? 

Be careful who you are shooting with, ask a lot of questions and if something doesn’t feel right, it it ok to back down and not shoot. You are the creator of your own destiny!

What was the hardest obstacle to overcome in the industry being a black trans woman? 

Just the underpay and the segregation or the imposed racism (people think I don’t want to work with black perfomers when there aren’t really any out there to work with)

Is there an LGBTQ charity that you would like to support or draw attention to?

Currently what are your favorite TV shows, movies, music, books, etc?

I love Euphoria, The Servant, Batman was okay, and I love all kinds of music, especially soul music!

What is the nerdiest thing about you (if anything)? 

The nerdiest thing about me is that I am a clown! I love to make fun and jokes even at my own expense! Plus I wear glasses hehehe!
