40 Years Old, Comes to Life

The life of a writer has its ups and downs. A fertile imagination and a way with words can be very satisfying artistically, but it can almost make a person long for things they may never be able to attain. Kelly (Cherie DeVille) is a novelist whose characters begin to take a life of their own, providing Kelly with an outlet for some of her deepest longings. Directed by multi-talented writer Kay Brandt, the movie certainly invites some art-imitates-life interpretations, but it doesn’t require knowledge of the exterior context to enjoy. DeVille continues to demonstrate her knack for multi-faceted characters, enhanced by Brandt’s capable direction. It’s a movie that bears repeat viewings, both for its steamy sexuality and its compelling protagonist.

Stepmom Cory is stuck at home, and she needs some affection . . . with limited ability to leave the nest, as it were, she decides to keep her lust in the family.

Influence

The Vixen Media Group labels always take the time to present a picture of the lifestyles of the characters in its movies. It’s not just sex that these people revel in — they also indulge all the pleasures of life. Influence is a perfect example, showing us glimpses of the glamorous life of the social-media powerhouse Elsa Jean portrays. As befits her character, when she does something for the first time, she does it big! Influence sets itself apart from other “first anal” flicks by taking the anal theme and spreading it across the entire movie, rather than stuffing it into a single scene and surrounding it by more pedestrian action. Given that fans have waited for years for Elsa’s first anal, this blockbuster presentation resonates as the perfectly splashy way to bring this watershed moment to the world.

My Name Is Zaawaadi

My Name is Zaawaadi is an unusual movie on several levels. Its director is Rocco Siffredi, but the movie does not present itself as the usual Rocco romp through a gallery of Euro newbs. And while largely unknown to porn audiences, the movie’s star is showcased on the cover in the showboat style of a multi-award winner. A quick glance at he movie’s screenshots reveals some startling moments, including a sequence featuring what can only be described as a “milk bath.” It’s these odd qualities that make the movie an unqualified winner! Rocco saw porn potential in the beautiful Zaawaadi, so he decided to create a special feature for her in this, his Rocco Siffredi Films debut. “Very curious, very attentive, very natural, very spontaneous. This kind of girl is not contaminated by porn. The contamination of porn to me is when everything becomes mechanical, so whatever you do, you do without emotions. Zaawaadi was completely virgin on this side,” he told AVN. The vast majority of porn performers are not really actors in the conventional Hollywood sense of the term. We don’t mean to say that pornstars don’t give incredibly moving, nuanced performances, of course, but very few of them have an extensive background in traditional character acting. That’s the quality that helps set Maitland Ward apart: she has the dazzling good looks of a classic pornstar, combined with years of experience in TV and film work. Mistress Maitland gives her an intimidatingly amazing character to play, a dominating goddess who stares down at her sexual prey at a looming height (enhanced further by heels). The Insatiable Emily Willis

Cougar Queen: A Tiger King Parody

It’s not easy putting together a porn movie during a global pandemic, much less a movie that represents some of the stark realities of that same pandemic. Cougar Queen managed to do both of these things, all while simultaneously spoofing one of the binge-watch favorites of the COVID lockdown period: Netflix’s trashy but enjoyable Tiger King. The movies essentially tweaks the Tiger King battle of rivals by inserting the owners of feuding porn companies in the place of the big-cat owners of the Netflix series. The action itself leans heavily on social-distancing-friendly solo sequences, with an eye-popping cast that features big-league cougars such as Reagan Foxx and Cherie DeVille. In making it all gel as a cohesive whole, Casey Calvert and Eli Cross prove their resourcefulness and mettle as directors.

Interracial Icon Vol. 14

Blacked has been a perennial presence on Adult Empire’s DVD bestsellers lists ever since its debut more than six years ago. It’s hard to sustain a high level of quality for that long, particularly when there’s a shakeup in terms of a label’s creative team. Blacked has defied the odds, though, by continuing to produce movies with all the illustrious glamor that made their initial movies so striking. Interracial Icon gives us some of the year’s best glam interracial scenes, starting with a double-couple hook-up on the beach and ending in similarly spectacular fashion with a Riley Reid/Gabbie Carter fuck fest set in a gymnasium.
