How: Veronica shot her first scene later in life, at 37, rather than the 18 to 22 range that is more typical for a new starlet. It was far from her first encounter with adult entertainment, though! She had stripped since age 17 (initially with a fake ID, as she admitted in a 2012 interview with XCritic) before doing periodic fetish and nude modeling work through her 20s. Avluv also spent time as a celebrity hair stylist and stay-at-home mom prior to making the acquaintance of pornstars Dylan Ryder and Diana Doll, who helped connect her with her first true hardcore shoot. “I’m not shy in front of the camera and I thought, well these two ladies seem quite stable and happy, so why not give it a try?” Avluv told Freakin’ Awesome Network in 2011.
Trivia: Palmer told Avluv that she was the first girl ever to make her cum on camera.

Observations: Avluv plays a weary, overworked mom who finds solace and comfort in a friendly nanny (Palmer). The solicitous Palmer preps a nice cup of tea for Avluv to help her relax, and when that doesn’t do the trick, she offers a massage. Despite some initial reluctance to become involved with the hired help, Avluv is eventually coaxed into bed with Palmer, where they strip down, perform oral sex, and trib. With a trim, angular look and soft, soothing voice, Avluv’s gentle, slightly unsure character provides an interesting contrast to the fearsome energy she’s shown in later work.
The critics said: AVN highlighted (the then also new) Jessi Palmer in its review of the movie and scene, but ultimately it would be Avluv who would make the longest-lasting impression on the industry. (Palmer withdrew from porn around 2016.)
