Quotable: Pornstars Discuss Star Showcases
If a woman must have a room of her own to write fiction, as Virginia Woolf once said, then a porn performer must have a showcase of her own to be a superstar of her craft. These blockbusters put the focus on a single star throughout an entire movie’s worth of scenes. It’s not something every actor can do, but the performers featured in this interview retrospective have pulled it off in spades, often more than once. This was something I was battling at the time so I knew it was a perfect fit.”

Angela White on Angela White: Dark Side
“Jules [Jordan] and I had been discussing doing a movie together for some time; and we both had the same objectives: we wanted to create a showcase that was unique, and we wanted it to be big. And to say we went big is an understatement. With six scenes, including a 13-guy blowbang and 11-guy gangbang, Angela White: Dark Side is my biggest showcase ever. It has been quite some time since Jules has done a Dark Side showcase and I love that he brought it back to showcase the darker, nastier side of me as a performer.”

“The beauty of sexuality is that there is always something new to explore. Human sexuality excites me, in part, because of its diversity. There’s no limit to what can be considered sexy or sexual; there are always more fantasies to explore and different acts to experience. While I did explore new physical acts in Angela Vol. 3, it is the emotional exploration in the film that sets it apart from Angela Vol. 2. It’s true that I never thought I would be able to surpass Angela Vol. 2. It’s why I picked Markus Dupree and John Strong for my DAP scene, because I have done a DP with them before for Jonni and it was great! I knew they would be amazing together again for this scene. I had worked with Rob Piper, I worked with Jessy Jones. I only picked people I knew were up to the task. The one person I hadn’t worked with before was Adriana Chechik and it was a dream of mine to do so. It worked out great. I’m honored to have her in the movie.”
