Viagra Falls: Cialis Beats Blue Pill in New Study
Viagra is famous for its blue-shaded pills and ad campaigns, but blue might describe Pfizer’s mood after reading Psychology Today’s report that most men prefer rival Cialis. In fact, the margin wasn’t even close: according to author Michael Castleman, Cialis was favored in all 12 studies he examined by an average of a 3 to 1 margin.
Cialis is preferred because it has a longer period of effectiveness than Viagra. “If a man takes Cialis on Friday evening,” said Castleman, “he has erection assistance through Sunday afternoon . . . Cialis allows them to take their eyes off the clock and make love whenever they wish. So Cialis has a clear advantage for dating couples or new lovers still in the hot-and-heavy period who value sexual spontaneity.” The surveys also indicated that women preferred Cialis to be their partner’s choice, as well.
So, blissful couples relaxing in seaside tubs trump resourceful blue-tint boomers. Interestingly, Castleman also noted that only about 7% of the men surveyed had actually tried a prescription ED medication.
