The Rundown: ‘Talk of the Town’ (Featured Video)
The Basics
In Jessica Jasmin’s sophomore film, Talk of the Town, we get the story of two young lovers in a town where everyone knows who they are. Nobody likes Liz Jordan’s character Ophella for the prince of their wealthy community, Patrick, played by Parker Ambrose. From the start it’s clear they don’t have the perfect relationship, but their world is about to blow up in front of everyone, and in a town where sex and gossip go hand in hand the potential for drama is endless. The plot keeps up with the sex thanks to all star writing and great performances from an all star cast, and, as we’ve come to expect from Wicked Pictures productions, the quality is top of the class. The thought and attention to detail that went into this movie is evident as soon as you press play, starting with the intro song that I absolutely fell in love with. There’s a little something for everyone to grasp onto and a plethora of characters to root for or against. This is the perfect way to start our year off!
Scene Highlights
Right away the tone is set with a threesome bound to hurt some feelings. Melody Marks’ brother acts more like her father but his friends Coco Lovelock and Josh Rivers have no problem helping her explore herself in ways big bro won’t. As it turns out, they tried moving in together, getting engaged, and living a life together a few years back, but differences got in the way and Liz isn’t in a hurry to go back to those painful days.
As parents Seth Gamble and Kenzie Taylor sit in bed, Kenzie can’t get her mind off Parker and Liz’s relationship. Why We Love It
Typically credits in between scenes is annoying but the design and specifically the music are epic! The story is great and all the stars truly bring it to life with consistent brilliant acting. I often found myself rooting for Liz and yelling at Kenzie through my screen, which emphasizes just how amazing these characters are. Production quality, as stated above, is fantastic and most importantly the sex is exactly what we’re looking for because it elevates the story as a whole but can definitely stand alone. In Talk of the Town there’s something for everyone to grasp onto, even if it’s you’re least favorite character, and it’s one of those movies you’ll find your self revisiting over time because it’s just that damn good.
