Angelo Godshack: 2024 Adult Empire Director of the Year

In the world of hardcore porn, Angelo Godshack is worthy of devotion. With a reputation built on pushing boundaries, the European performer now brings his iconic intensity and charisma behind the camera. Joining the revered Evil Angel roster of directors, his transition into director has been nothing short of spectacular, with his debut film, Angels of Hardcore, becoming a bestseller and already spawning a highly anticipated sequel. In this interview, the 2024 Adult Empire Director of the Year takes us back to his start in the industry, talks about the key influences that shaped his approach to directing, and much more.

Adult Empire: Congrats! What’s your reaction to becoming Adult Empire’s 2024 Director of the Year?

Angelo Godshack: I feel very grateful for this award. Honestly, I really didn’t expect something like that. Seriously. It makes me feel happy and mentally “saturated”.

If the award entailed an acceptance speech, who/what would you thank for helping you get where you are today?

Big thanks belong to Giorgio Grandi (the owner of LP studio and ex-performer). He gave me the opportunity to improve myself in the hardcore department of porn and become a true hardcore performer. That was the start of my producer career.

What achievements have you been most proud of during your career?

Being between top featured performers in Europe made me feel very happy and proud. My next step forward was being a successful producer with my own website, and recently being added to Evil Angel’s directors’ roster. I can barely imagine what more I could wish for.

What’s been your most memorable career moment of 2024?

Invitation from Evil Angel to be their director.

Tell us a little bit about your background. How did you get into the industry?

Everything started 15 years ago when I started to shoot solo pictures – naked acts. Then 3 years in gay porn I finally started my straight porn actor career. Step by step I increased my performance and worked for strong names of productions and through all of this into “pro hardcore performer”.

What’s the story behind your stage name?

Angelo was the name I liked for a long time and Godshack was made coincidentally, composited from two words which together have no meaning, no point but sound good. For me, it was important to have a unique name, an original one.

How do attitudes toward porn differ in Europe versus the United States?

Actually I have never been to the USA so I can’t judge correctly. I just know about some restrictions in published content and about higher rates in comparison with Europe in general. I have experience just with USA models I work and worked with. Actually very good experiences.

How did your experiences as a porn performer shape your style as a porn director?

The more I performed in hardcore porn the more I felt I wanted to do the things on my own. So basically I followed my experiences and slightly modified that by my desires and ideas.

Similarly, which porn filmmakers most influenced your directorial style?

Legal Porno directors inspired me with camera work, angles and progress of the scenes. Then it was just my own imagination.

How did your recent Evil Angel directorial contract come about?

Surprisingly very fast…Everything with Evil Angel is going very well and I hope this cooperation will last a very long time. I hope Evil Angel will feel some benefits from cooperating with me.

Earlier this year, you told AVN, “In my scenes, you will never find any story or tale; I go straight to the action.” Could you ever envision yourself branching into story-based porn? 

No, never… I’m sorry I’m not the type for it. Personally I always scrolled off the story of every video to the sex part. I just do what I like and what I can.

In the same interview, you mentioned the importance of authentic chemistry and connection between performers. How do you maximize those elements in scenes you direct?

With every model (girl) it’s possible to make a “connection”. It’s up to the performer. I think only interest and desire can be attracting for others, non-interest makes everyone bored. In porn it’s the same.

Your videos are famous for being intensely hardcore. Is there ever such a thing as too hardcore in porn? How do you strike the right balance?

Right balance is the point where you get to the limits of the girl with her pleasure. Yes, it’s very “thin ice”. For doing nice hardcore is my job to be on this “thin ice” all the time, don’t slow down but don’t go over.

What is your favorite hardcore theme or sex act?

My series “Squirting Wars” is my favorite one. My fans can look forward to seeing more scenes of this series soon.

Angels of Hardcore became a #1 bestseller on Adult Empire. What were the main challenges of shooting that particular movie? 

Angels of Hardcore is based on 2 or 3 beautiful girls doing similar or the same level of hardcore focused on perfect teamwork, perfect penetrations and everything at the same time. Positions are very well chosen and set up for good matching for the frame.

To what extent, if at all, do you consider fan feedback when making your movies?

Big extent. I can’t be deaf to the audience… They are giving me wind to my wings. Of course I can’t ingratiate to everyone: hundred guys – hundred tastes.

Outside the industry, what are your passions and interests?

In the first place is my daughter, the best thing I could ever have. I also like a fitness lifestyle, nature and a bit of fight sports.

What do you have planned for 2025 and beyond?

The plan is clear: give people as much top-quality content as possible so people will see me active definitely!
