We’re not sure if getting tag-teamed by two rock-hard studs in a parking garage is the most conventional means of getting through a period of grief, but Kate certainly makes it look like a compelling therapy!
Claire The Sexologist

When sex is your day job, how do you spend your nights? Claire Castel‘s sexology profession means she hears details about the intimate lives of scores of clients. Unfortunately, she finds her own private life lacking the requisite excitement. As the movie opens, we see her sitting through a tedious dinner party held by wheezing, pretentious academic friends. To shake things up, she embarks on a series of nighttime adventures, shot in the iconic “naughty boudoir” style that defined Dorcel’s brand for so many years. Castel’s sex experimentation is highlighted by a hookup with Valentina Nappi and a foursome at the movie’s end. Eventually, she proves to herself that she may still have that ineffable sexual spark, after all.
Climax

In some ways, Climax is not your typical Marc Dorcel porn movie. It is set in the United States, not Europe, and it’s directed by an American (Kay Brandt) rather than by one of the usual Dorcel suspects (Herve Bodilis, Franck Victome, and others). Even so, it has the self-assured sexual prowess and sense of adventure that has always defined Dorcel’s best. For a feature, it has a concise running time (just 62 minutes), but it makes splendidly effective use of every last second. The story finds a couple (Ryan Driller and Avi Love) visiting a sexy consultant (Angela White) to discover ways to take their sex life to the next level. When they mention that they’ve had fantasies about being with others, White has a solution that fulfills that wish and far beyond. (Interestingly, a sequel to the movie is in the works!) Note: Most Dorcel movies are available in (dubbed) English, the original French, or Spanish.
40 Years Old, Comes to Life

Any brand that has existed as long as Dorcel clearly has the capacity to reinvent itself. Dorcel added a new twist to its lineup when it debuted Climax, an American-shot production directed by esteemed porn filmmaker/author Kay Brandt. The follow-up collaboration from Dorcel and Brandt is one the director had tried to get off the ground for several years, but it’s proven to be worth the wait. Cherie DeVille, who was so memorable in Brandt’s bestselling Unfolding, takes on the role of an erotic-fiction writer whose fantasies begin to leap off the page. When her real-life relationship takes some unexpected turns, the fantasies become all the more vivid. DeVille is growing into quite an adept actor, and Brandt’s script gives her plenty of opportunity to demonstrate range. Fans of Unfolding (and Climax) will find much to savor! We look forward to the next Dorcel/Brandt/DeVille team-up.
A 40 Year Old Widow

Shock, grief, despair, and . . . boobs? Dorcel deserves credit for an unusual mixture of themes in A 40 Year Old Widow. Alexis Fawx plays the title character in this moody look into the life of a bereaved beauty. When her husband dies in an auto accident, she finds herself thinking back on their life together. We see glimpses of the passion they shared and hints of the affairs he conducted behind her back. The movie also delivers on the bottom line with all the requisite focus on Fawx’s chest, which provides distraction from the sadder notes in the plot. Dorcel has elected to dub Fawx’s narration with another actor, which could prove distracting to fans accustomed to Fawx’s own distinctive voice. (Then again, her cheerful tone may not have meshed well with the subject matter.) Either way, it’s an effective performance from the star, who convincingly projects sadness and sex appeal in equal measure.
Inglorious Bitches

Only Dorcel could take on a violent pastiche like Quentin Taratino’s action adventure Inglorious Basterds and somehow meld it into a must-watch porn movie. Armed with a large budget, Dorcel succeeds in capturing the feisty spirit of the Taratino inspiration while jettisoning most of its plot in favor of classic Dorcel sex. The action is highlighted by several threesomes, including a memorable all-girl one in scene five. (Perhaps inevitably, some of the WWII-esque images call to mind the icons of ’70s art erotica such as The Night Porter, which famously spotlighted a topless Charlotte Rampling in a peaked cap.) We’d love to see Dorcel take on some of the other Tarantino classics!
The Ingenuous

Claiming that you aren’t bewitched by Anna Polina’s charms would be, well, disingenuous. Polina steps into the role of an innocent, sexually curious protagonist who is much in the mold of Mia Malkova’s character in Sex Games. Dr. Chauntelle, academic and one-time porn reviewer for PVV Online, summed up the appeal of the movie with typical eloquence: “The Ingenuous epitomizes a very pure form of adult content – an elaborate rendering of absolute fantasy with no self-reflection. In its exploration of a weary couple attempting to find new luster in a relationship that has become rote and predictable, The Invitation is like an American predecessor and companion piece to The Price of Temptation. The story and dialogue, courtesy the always-insightful Kay Brandt, are even more incisive and sophisticated than ever, bringing the movie to the level of a great relationship drama that just happens to include white-hot sex scenes. There are also several highly memorable visuals within the movie’s generous three-hour running time, including creative, teasing use of cupcake icing in an early lovemaking sequence. Jay Smooth and Kenna James do some of their best work here as we follow the evolution of their relationship from stale routine to a fiery orgy at the movie’s end. This movie landed in many of our 2023 “Best of” lists, and it’s not hard to see why.

Sure, there’s nothing like being in love, but it’s the “etc” part of Love Etc. that you’ll savor the most. Dorcel has often worked with a familiar stock company of directors, from Franck Vicomte to Herve Bodilis and many more. This helps lend the brand a pleasing, reassuring consistency, but it’s also fun to see them offer the director’s chair to stars know for their work in front of the camera. Euro fave Liza Del Sierra takes the reins here in a series of romance-themed scenes stocked full of familiar faces. We’re treated to some vividly creative moments, including some outdoor sex and what is most certainly the most intense pinata scene I’ve ever seen in a porn movie. (It may well be the only pinata scene I’ve seen in a porn movie, but I digress.) Interestingly, Del Sierra herself does not appear in the movie, but it’s teeming with so many hardcore hotties, you’ll scarcely notice!
Luxure: I Offer My Wife to Others
Marc Dorcel movies always have a flexibile attitude toward the definition of marital infidelity. Till death do us part? Scene three takes us to the massage parlor where our heroes will find the soothing touch that makes them forget work woes. Dorcel makes the effective decision to allow music to carry much of the mood in the early going, without use of any sound effects or dialogue. We see our duo of protagonists descend into the sensual realm of a particularly effective masseuse. Her charms go far beyond the usual techniques, though, as they soon discover.

It’s bracketed by plot segments, and while the movie is well worth checking out in full, this sequence is a perfect sampler.

In this segment, he coaxes Kenna and Emily into a threesome — their characters’ first sexual interaction with one another — with charm, guile, and pure sexual charisma. In a movie loaded with highlights and hardcore adventures, this one stands out thanks to the magnetic power of the three performers featured.

The final scene of Torn is part of a broader story in a Dorcel feature directed by Whitney Wright. But if you want to skip straight to pure performer chemistry in all its glory, add this final scene from the movie to your cart! It pairs two actors (Skye Blue and Anna Foxxx) with combustible charisma that becomes all the more incendiary when it is combined into one. For all that power, though, the coupling starts in deceptively low-key fashion, with an emphasis on slow-burn foreplay. The intensity builds, but in an organic way that flows perfectly from the plot and its characters. Director Wright also demonstrates a strong visual sensibility that bodes well for further collaborations with Dorcel.
