Adult Empire: Where are you from? What was growing up like?
KissCat: I am originally from the distant city of Khabarovsk, but when I was six years old, my family and I moved to Moscow. My childhood was very diverse, with difficult moments during the move when my parents worked a lot, and I often stayed alone. I was very independent. I would come home from school by myself, cook lunch, do my homework, and wait for my parents until late. But there were also joyful moments when my parents were on vacation, and we could spend more time together. My independence in childhood helped me learn to make decisions without looking for approval from others and to pursue my dreams step by step.
When did you know you wanted to be a porn star? How did you get your start?
Honestly, it happened spontaneously five years ago. Before that, I never thought I would become a porn actress. When I tell people how I got into this industry, they laugh and don’t believe it, but it’s true. I was drying my hair in the bathroom when my husband walked in and said he read an article about adult sites where you could earn up to $5,000. You should have seen his surprised eyes when I turned off the hairdryer and said, “Why aren’t we filming yet?”. That same day we took six iPhones and filmed our first video. Now we shoot with professional equipment, and from our own experience, we learned that earning that money is not so easy. But with perseverance and hard work, you can achieve a higher income. Despite all the difficulties, I still have that feeling from our first video.
Is there a special meaning or story behind your scene name?
My stage name “KissCat” originally included two people: me – Kiss, and my husband – Cat. In childhood, my dad called me Kiss, and friends called me Kris, a short form of my name. When we were creating a nickname, it seemed cute to use “Kiss”. I also call my husband “cat” at home. We combined these two words, and thus the nickname KissCat was born. Over time, with my growing popularity, my fans started calling me KissCat, and my husband had to find a new nickname. So, thanks to my fans, I transformed from Kiss to KissCat.
Do you have a favorite kink?

My favorite part of being a porn star is, of course, the shooting process itself. I get a huge emotional and sexual boost on set. If you weren’t in the adult entertainment industry what would you be doing?
If I weren’t in the adult entertainment industry, I would continue working on developing websites, maybe start progressing in web design or diving into photo editing. I’ve always wanted to engage in creativity, but I can’t draw or sculpt. Developing in IT technologies or photography seems always interesting and allows for self-expression.
What advice do you have for anyone looking to become a porn star?
My advice might sound banal, but it’s truly important: be confident in yourself and your desires. Don’t pay attention to what others say, and pursue your dreams. Remember safety, take care of your health, and, of course, love what you do because genuine emotions can’t be compared to acted reactions.
