Shoot Your Shot combines the humor of The Office, the quirkiness of Severance, and the pure excitement of a classic porno. The Free Use concept lends itself to surreal moments throughout the movie, none moreso than in scene one. The office human resources rep (Charley Hart) has noticed a dip in Nicky’s work performance. Could his office crush be creating an unwelcome distraction? She’s determined to get to the bottom of it in her sympathetic, caring way. Indeed, she’s so caring that their chat quickly devolves into a Free Use hookup. The HR conversation continues throughout, reaching a fever pitch as she encourages him to “Go get it!” just as the two of them are also reaching climax. Without doubt, it is unlike any other porn scene you’re likely to encounter
Also in scene one, Penelope Kay delivers a particularly rollicking, spit-heavy blowjob. (We also glimpse various casual office couplings along the way, including one featuring Leana Lovings.) Why we love it
Shoot Your Shot takes some getting used to, particularly if you’re new to the Free Use concept. It’s jarring, if amusing, to see everyone having sex in such a carefree, casual manner while engaging in ho-hum office tasks. But the longer you watch, the more it grows on you. Nicky Rebel is relatably endearing as the timid protagonist, and Penelope Kay perfectly captures the sweetness of a classic office crush.. The rampant office hookups have a certain satirical flourish, always a welcome touch in any porn movie. Thanks to the appeal of the two leads, we feel the tug of heartstrings as they work toward professing their affection for one another. Ultimately, the movie is highly creative, surprisingly touching, and consistently entertaining.
