Talk about winning 2022 XBIZ MILF Performer of the Year.

I don’t ever really go in with expectations. I’m always so honored to be even nominated and stuff. All those people on that list are also my friends. So any of those people winning is a joy for me, you know what I mean? So I was just excited to be there. And when they called my name, my heart stopped and my stomach went woooop. And I was like, “Oh my god, don’t vomit!” And I started shaking. Because it’s like, oh, my god, I actually get to walk up on stage and say thank you, which the words left my head [when] I got up there. And I was like, oh, my god, I had to like put a complete sentence together. I was shaking my stomach was like, I don’t know. My heart was pumping. So that was like, a real real genuine excitement response. I cannot describe it other than it was just like such a genuine “thank you” within me that was just pouring out, I guess in one sense. And it was really cool. It was it was really dope.

What was the story behind your XBIZ Awards outfit (a suit and top hat)?

I am actually just super comfortable in suits. I love women in suits. I think there’s just something about it that’s so classic. And so my best friend, Joe, knows that. And he helps manage me. And he’s more than just my best friend. [He] is like my business partner. He managers my life a little bit for me. And he was like, “Hey, let’s let’s match. Let’s do this!” And I was like, “That’s dope. Let’s fucking do it!” I love the top hat. I’ve always wanted to wear a top hat. And what’s a better occasion than like the red carpet, right? So I don’t know what I’m going to wear next year, but I don’t know. I was like the red carpet part is like my chance to kind of really be my creative self and my self expression. And just like could do something cool. I have one of my closest friends and she’s like a best friend of mine too is Candy, and Candy has a business where she’s made a lot of my red carpet dresses. Everything pretty much I’ve worn, I think Candy has made in some way or another or styled and put it together. So just like little one-of-a-kind things we get to do, and why not do it? Why not? It’s my chance to shine on there.

Tell us more about your own podcast.

Yeah, the High As Fawx show, which is basically like a spinoff. I had a comedy show in LA, the High As Fawx show. It was a live comedy show. [When the pandemic hit], Joe and I were like, “You know, okay, hey, why don’t we turn this into a podcast and then eventually when people started to travel again and do different things, we can have them on and come by and just talk and just keep it casual, bring some light and maybe some humor to some stuff. And it’s cannabis-friendly and stuff like that. So I just play on words and all this other stuff. And it’s just fun. It’s just kind of sorted out  — I didn’t know anything about podcasting. So it’s been a learning process and I think I’m getting better at it. And I really like it. I really love having people on and learning all these like things about other individuals that I had no idea about, like other talents and how they got their start, just things that I never know you know, or whatever they want to talk about. We have all types of different people from the industry on. Hopefully we can have more people from the cannabis industry people, people that advocate. I do a collab with a local brewery here in Vegas and so I had them on so local Vegas things like local shops. I like to have them on. Was just chat, talking about stuff that people plugged their items o people can find them and and it’s just really exciting. It’s really nice.

What was it like working on The Voyeur Next Door for Brazzers?

So that was the four part series for Brazzers. There was a DP in the end that was with the two step brothers of the neighbor. So I have a very vivid imagination. I love to create. And I was sitting on this thing that I wrote a long, long time ago. And I was just like, I didn’t know how to really go about pitching this to anybody, and I thought it was a really cool idea. And I knew it had different parts. And I touched upon a lot of the different things, a lot of the niches out there that people really like, like the stepbrothers and this, that, and the other, the neighbor and the voyeurism, a little bit of “Oh, my god, is that happening?” Bringing things out. I just think it was just really kind of a cool idea. And I pitched it. We were talking and I pitched it and they really liked it. And they came back and then we got to get to work on it together. And that was super, super awesome. From the styling of it to who was going to shoot it and the characters. I gave them different choices for different people that I thought would make would would make a great scene and would be fun and could fit that part. So yeah, it was awesome! And I thought it was really great to do a DP. I thought it was like really kind of hard to have these these two guys that were just stepbrothers by marriage over their house come over. And I’m like the taunting neighbor and you got the shy one and then you got the very conflicting different personalities, and why not? Makes a good DP! [Laughs]

Now that you’ve collected numerous major awards, do you feel the need to top what you’ve done before?

Yeah, I kind of go with the flow. I’m just going to continue being me. I’m going to continue showing up and being me and I’m going to continue being strong and listening to my body and listening to my mind. And I’m fortunate enough to be contracted as well, which is really, really nice. And I have all my little other subscription sites going well for me. I have my other businesses running and other collaborations with those things outside the industry running. I want to just keep it coming. I’m welcoming the blessings. I welcome all of it, really. And I don’t want like any topping over needs to be done. I’m just continuing to be me and hopefully I think if you continue to be yourself, you continue to get better whatever you do.

2022 industry award wins

Dallas

So of course the first thing I wanted to touch on was — you had an awesome, big awards month in January, two awesome, major awards. So let’s talk a little bit about that. First of all, do you follow the awards in general? I mean, when did you first hear that you just been nominated, for instance?

Alexis

Oh, well, Tanya [Tate] is really good — My PR [agent], you know, she’s great. She like keeps me abreast of all the situations. When you’re shooting you your own content and shooting for others and then running a couple other businesses, you get really busy, but I keep up with it. I’m always always happy to be nominated. And it’s always exciting and stuff like that, but I certainly didn’t expect to win, so I was just not prepared. [Laughs] I’m just like, “Oh, my god!” It was definitely really exciting.

Dallas

So of course first in the calendar is XBIZ, which actually had more in-person stuff this year, right?

Alexis

It was really, really cool. I had a lot of fun at the convention. I was signing at the Brazzers booth and it was just really kind of cool to see fans again and interact a little bit and have some fun and maybe blow off a little steam and just really enjoy ourselves. So that was a blast. And then I missed getting dressed up. As I’m sure you saw, I was wearing the top hat and the full suit with my cane and my best friend, Joe — we were very similar. I let him pick out our outfits. And I missed that! That’s so fun! You get to go down the red carpet, talk to everyone talk, to you guys. It’s something! It’s just it’s a lot of fun for me to do all that and then to sit there and to watch everything. So it’s really cool.

Dallas
So you won MILF Performer of the Year, of course! So you were saying you didn’t really expect to win?

Alexis
I don’t ever really go in with expectations. I’m always so honored to be even nominated and stuff. All those people on that list are also my friends. So any of those people winning is a joy for me, you know what I mean? So I was just excited to be there. And when they called my name, my heart stopped and my stomach went woooop. And I was like, “Oh my god, don’t vomit!” And I started shaking. Because it’s like, oh my god, I actually get to walk up on stage and say thank you, which the words left my head [when] I got up there. And I was like, oh my god, I had to like put a complete sentence together. I was shaking my stomach was like, I don’t know. My heart was pumping. So that was like, a real real genuine excitement response. I cannot describe it other than it was just like such a genuine “thank you” within me that was just pouring out, I guess in one sense. And it was really cool. It was it was really dope.

I’m excited to get actually get it in the mail and see it. And I was able to tip my hat that night. I love getting on stage and tipping my hat. That was that was my thank you to everyone as well. And congratulations to us all. And I love this industry. So to be part of that and to be to win accolades and to be recognized for your body of work over that year or in years prior, it’s a true honor. That is just really cool. I don’t know — that was a moment to always remember, I’ll definitely tell you that.

Dallas

So they send you the award after the fact, then, by mail, I guess?

Alexis

Yeah, someone asked me for my address and stuff like that. I live in Vegas. So maybe that’s easier. I don’t know if everybody’s still meeting at offices or what’s going on. And I don’t know how California, [how] everything’s going on over there. So I don’t know what’s easier. But yeah, I’m excited!

Awards night fashion

Dallas

Nice! You mentioned your outfit. What was the inspiration for that? As you said, it was a top hat and kind of like a smoking jacket kind of thing, almost fit in with your tomboy background a little bit, I thought, in a way.

Alexis

Winning AVN MILF Performer of the Year 2022

Dallas

And then of course you had some great success at AVN this year, too, winning the equivalent prize, MILF Performer of the Year. Now, if I understand, that was your second win at AVN for that award, right?

Alexis
I won in 2020. And then I won in 2022. I just was at home. And I had a really busy crazy day and I was like, “Oh, let me get a shower. Let’s do this.” I got snuggled in. I was cozy. I made fresh garlic bread. I was ready to watch this thing.

And I wondered why they’re like making sure that I was like, all set up. And I was like, “Yeah, I could see everybody. I’m cool, like, whatever.” And a lot of times AVN has, going to the show, it would be one of the awards that would go up on the screen, not really announced and walked up on. So I didn’t really expect to have anything prepared other than probably what I was going to type for the next day. Not that I even expected that award, either. I was just really being myself at home, to be honest. And my name was called and I was like, Oh my god, oh my god, of all the times to be in a robe, my glasses, stuffing my face with a garlic loaf like, “Hi, this is me. This is this is who I am!” I was a little embarrassed, but to all of that, I think I looked at it later, and I think I even said it on my Instagram as like, you know, it’s just really representative. I mean, just like the suit with my creative side. Also, I have my very “at home I’m very comfortable in my own skin” side. I worked hard to get to this place. I am me. I am proud to be me. This is the little glasses on and enjoying myself and I’m happy. Again, I didn’t have anything super prepared. I think I did better with thanking a lot more people. Of course, Joe gave me shade: “You didn’t thank me,” but I was like, “It’s okay! I talked to you in person.” So it was it was exciting. It was very exciting the entire month, to be honest. I just can’t believe it. It’s kind of surreal. And I’m actually going to go to the AVN office next week to pick up pick up my award and I can’t wait to see it. I can’t wait to put it all together and be like, wow, this this is something I accomplished.

And I think with anybody I think the last couple of years, we’ve all really put our hearts and souls in different things. And yeah, just to see that recognized is really pretty fucking astounding. So I’m really happy. I did tear up. I’m actually tearing up right now. It’s like, God, I started July of 2010, back in Miami Bangbros days. And if you would have ask me then where I’d be sitting today, I had no clue. You know what I mean? I just had no idea, the opportunity and the amount of achievement and things that you can do with this industry. It’s been a pretty pretty amazing ride.

First scene: Dancing Bear

Dallas

Cool, right, because as I recall that first work that you did was with Dancing Bear where of course you’re you’re going down on a [man in a] bear [costume], right?

Alexis

Yeah, that was the main dancer! It was like the whole like bridesmaid [thing]. It was like, “Oh, we’re at a strip club!” and one girl goes wild and sucks dick and [then] another one. Yeah, that was a lot. If you would have asked me then, I had no clue that I would  be sitting here having this conversation or wearing top hats. I think that’s also a testament of growth of me personally as a human being as well. I really just love the empowerment — empowerment through becoming an entrepreneur, a business owner, this is all because of that first scene. So it’s pretty amazing. You know, when I really sit back and think about it, I’ve come a long way in every which way personally in my personal life and my business life and so on and so forth. And that’s good! I’m happy about that!

Dallas

Because with these two award wins in some sense, I would say it really does make you kind of the top MILF in the industry in some sense. Is that surreal to think as well that you’re kind of like in that pole position, so to speak?

Alexis

Yeah, it’s unbelievable! I don’t know. It’s like quite unbelievable for me to think of it in that way. Maybe I’m just humble or modest. I don’t know, but it’s wild. It’s just wild! What a wild, strange trip it’s been, I guess. I love it! And I feel great. I feel probably better now than I did when I started and and yeah, I just see it continuing. Great stuff!

The challenge to top herself?

Dallas

So after such a great dual victory there do you feel like now you have to top yourself in a sense, or do you just like take it as it comes, whatever may come will be, that kind of thing?

Alexis

Brazzers contract stardom

Dallas

You mentioned being a contract star. That, of course, is Brazzers. What can you tell us about some of the latest stuff that you’ve shot for Brazzers?

Alexis

Man, some really, really cool stuff. I got a scene coming up. It’s super stylized, and it’s got this time period. I can’t wait! It’s been really a lot of fun. And what’s really also cool is that we submit ideas and they’re down to create these ideas with us. And I love it. And they treat us super well. I’m super happy. And I got to do a lot of cool stuff like a lot more DP, a lot more anal, a lot more just awesome scenes, and then just going to continue. I know what I have in store coming up because I have a couple good weeks of work here coming up. And yeah, I know what’s happening! [Laughs]

Double penetration scene for Brazzers

Dallas

And speaking of DPs, I think you had a notable scene of that type that you also wrote, which was “The Voyeur Next Door.” I wonder if you could tell us a little bit about that one.

Alexis
[Laughs]

Dallas
Because I did see that portion of the scene. It does have a lot of humor in it. Xander Corvus is looking at you through the binoculars and you’re you’re giving him the “come hither” look. And Seth Gamble I think is the other performer.

Alexis
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was really good. Yeah, and always like my DP scenes, with the male talent I like them to be familiar with each other when they’re doing DPs and stuff like that. When they’re familiar with how each of them work, the different mechanics. I can just relax!

Dallas

Are those kinds of scenes — DPs, that is to say — are those technically difficult to capture?

Alexis

The guys that do the DPs all the time, they know their camera angles and how to open it up so the camera can get everything that they need to get. And I’m flexible enough. I actually I think sometimes DPs are a little bit more relaxing than anal for some reason. I don’t know why. I don’t know why. I don’t know we’ve made it to just so much stimulation going on and stuff like that I relax more, but yeah, it’s been interesting, fun. Really fun! Yeah, I haven’t done that in a really long time. I think my gangbang I did that. That was years prior. Maybe I’ll do another one this year just for the fun of it

Dallas

Have you ever done the “airtight” where it’s all holes, like the vag, the mouth, the butt, the whole thing?

Alexis

[Laughs] I feel we all one day Google that!

Dallas

Yeah, because that’s just kind of a fun and strange term. I had never heard that term prior to working for Adult Empire. Yeah, if I remember right, I think I first saw it on the cover of an Angela White movie. And then we were interviewing her and I asked her, “what is that?” and she was like kind of rolled her eyes at me like, “Oh, you don’t know what that is, you naive person, you!” [Laughs]

So obviously you have a lot of cool projects and one of them is right there on your shirt, your podcast, the High As Fawx show.

High as Fawx podcast

Alexis
Was just chat, talking about stuff that people plugged their items o people can find them and and it’s just really exciting. It’s really nice.

Dallas

For someone someone who’s new to the podcast, are there any particular episodes that you think would be good ones to start out and listen to to get the overall flavor of the piece?

Alexis

Just listen to all of them. [Laughs] Listen to all of them! They’re always like all so different parts. You can see it all grow, because like Joe and I, we have a good camaraderie back and forth with each other. And so we’re like brother and sister so it’s it’s kind of funny, and then I just think we’re interesting times and interesting people. Yeah, start from the beginning, watch all of them.

Dallas

Definitely, there’s a very good one you did. I think you interviewed Cherie DeVille. I remember that one as being a particularly fun one.

Alexis

Well, Cherie and I have so much [in common]. Oh, gosh, I just love her to death. She’s such an amazing human being. And we have had so much fun together. It’s right-up shenanigans and it’s just a really good time. If I’m going to going to be in town in LA and stuff like that and I know I’m going to need to stay overnight, I’m going to have time for dinner, I always try to reach out to her and see if she’s around. And you know, it’s just nice. It makes it nice to be out there and have a great meal with somebody that you know and are friends with. And yeah, it was awesome. She could be on anytime she wants!

Delegating

Dallas

So you were talking about working with your podcast co-host, Joe. So have you always been good at delegating? Or is that something that you kind of had to learn how to do, in a way?

Alexis

I think I’ve been pretty good at delegating different things. I’ve always been like a lone wolf, like I moved out when I was really young, I went into military, I was in college, [and] I’ve always like guided my own life in my own way. So when you’re used to delegating yourself, you begin to learn how to delegate others. I think military parents definitely helps you out with that as well. When you’re in a leadership type of role, and you have to delegate to others, you have to learn how to listen and effectively communicate different things. And it takes a lot of honesty, and Joe and I are very honest with each other, if he doesn’t think I should invest my time into something or whatever because of this, that, and the other, I take time and I listen to that. I’m always able to make up my own decision. And there’s support behind that. However, we’re not afraid to be like, well, maybe we shouldn’t be looking at it this way or the other way. And I love honesty. That’s where you want to be. And you want that in a partner, in a business partner. And in any type of partner, really, I mean, honestly, any type of relationship we’ve had, you should have that type of honest communication.

Working with new talent

Dallas

And speaking of which, when you’re, say, working with a new co-star, do you have a conversation with them off the top to kind of get a sense of them and what they’re like as a performer and what your you boundaries are for each other, or how do you play that sort of thing when you’re working with somebody new on a set?

Alexis

So what we do when we get to set and everything like that, when I’m working with somebody new, obviously, I introduce myself. But beforehand, I try to look at the everyone’s social media and kind of get a flavor of who this person is, and everything like that. Also, so I know what this new person looks like, and introduce myself and, and we go over all our boundaries together. That happens on every set, even if I worked with that person, like a zillion times, we still go over boundaries, because what was good, maybe one day may not be good the next day, maybe something goes on or something happens and you don’t want that anymore, whatever. So we always go over boundaries. And you know, my most important thing when I’m working with someone new is I would like for them to make sure that they just feel very comfortable. Because the more comfortable they are, the better the scene and more relaxed and great the things just kind of flow together, I think. And it’s great. You know, that seems to work and I’m excited to work with new people. So it’s nice!

Dallas

Are there any up-and-coming new performers that you’ve seen their work and you’re excited to work with them but haven’t yet worked with them?

Working with Siri and Alexis Tae

Alexis

There’s quite a few I put them on my list that I sent up to the office. Like, “I would like to work with these people.” And some of them are coming up in some new scenes. I actually just had I wanted to work with Siri. And I just had a scene with her this Sunday. I had a scene with her. And then I  really enjoy Alexis Tae’s work. I have a scene coming up with her next week, I believe. I really liked the style really enjoy the energy, the vibe, they seemed like a kind generous person on their social media. That makes a difference! I want to feel great on set, you know what I mean? Is this a person with a gentle manner? They’re nice, you know, they’re kind. To me, that’s important.

Threesome with Siri

Dallas

For sure! you mentioned shooting a scene with Siri. What can you tell us about that, if anything, at this point?

Alexis

Well, it was a threesome. So Xander was involved and yeah, it was really sexy and that’s all I want to say!

Dallas

So people will definitely want to watch for that scene. So of course she came into the industry initially, I don’t know, probably seven or eight years ago. So was she somebody you wanted to work with back when she first was around? Because she was around for a bit, had her first retirement, came back. When did she kind of get added to your list.

Alexis

She started popping up on my social media a lot. I was like, “Who is this? Oh, she’s cute.” Oh, my god! I just loved everything about her. She was a really cool person. I just liked what what I was seeing and I was like, “Oh yeah, be really great to work with her. I think it’d be really awesome!”

Dallas

And it became a reality.

Alexis

Yes, this is my wish list! [Laughs]

Wish list

Dallas

speaking of wish list, I know you have an Amazon wish list like a lot of performers do. I actually didn’t get a chance to look at it, but what’s the most the biggest or craziest thing that you’ve had someone send you from your Amazon wish list?

Alexis

Okay, well the funny story is I have a TV and I don’t really watch that much TV. I kind of recently got into some anime because I had time at home when I could. I jokingly put the TV on my Amazon wish list and like the next thing I knew it was bought for me like a week later and I was like, someone actually bought me this big ass TV; what am I going to do with it? But now I just like to play  music, and it plays my anime so that was probably the biggest thing on that. And I get different toys — I have a whole office full of absurd and — I don’t know; I could take you out there and show you — an absurd amount of penises in my drawers up there. I actually just got a squirting one this week?

A guy from my OnlyFans sent it to do a custom with it. So I’m like okay, sure. I don’t know how it works yet. I’m going to have to test it. I might hand it off to Joe. “How do you make this thing squirt?” It’s gonna be funny.

Dallas

It’s like programming a VCR or something. Sounds like that should be part of the video, figuring it out!

Alexis

Yeah, we like to keep getting a little BTS because he asked me shoot my customs and he does and content and stuff. And yeah, we’ll definitely get a BTS of us just trying to figure out how to like maneuver — I think it has a pump on either side. I don’t even know! I have to just take it out of the box and examine it, but it should be interesting.

I’ve gotten —  I call him Matt — but it’s like a little torso. And yeah, that works great for customs and stuff like that as well but I always break Matt though, for some reason. I just break the dicks all the time. Maybe that’s why they keep sending me more.

Dallas

It happens! You mentioned watching anime, and I think an interesting thing that we’ve noticed in some of the interviews we’ve done is that a lot of pornstars do have a secret “nerdy” side. Would you say that’s true of you? I mean talk about for instance your interest in anime or anything else that you might consider — I hate to use the word — but nerdy, so to speak.

Nerdy side / showing her sword

Alexis

Yeah, I mean, no, I definitely have a nerdy side, that’s for sure. I definitely do. It’s maybe undercover when I’m on set, but oh, yeah. And I don’t mind so it’s there. I really enjoy anime. I really like the context that usually they animes are pertaining on, and I like the fantasy/sword/demon/slaying-type of anime. I think that’s kind of cool. It’s fast-paced. And right now the one I’m watching is actually in Japanese and I’m reading the subtitles, but the the vocabulary is really good in anime. It’s not like just shit talk. I don’t really watch TV. I don’t have any cable or anything. I don’t watch actual cable since 2006, 2007. But yeah, it’s funny because Joe put it on one day. He’s like, “Hey, you might like Food Wars.” And I’m like, “Okay, sure. I’ll watch it.” Because usually if I put TV on, I’ll be asleep in five minutes or I’m on my phone. I’m just not interested. And for the first time you couldn’t get over it. He’s like, you haven’t picked up your phone. You’re awake. Yeah, I ended up like watching all the Food Wars. I’m on Demon Slayer now, a bunch of other ones. I got a sword. I officially bought a sword! Yeah would you like to see it, show you my sword! Sorry, all the way over here. I’m goin go to nobility school because I’ve always wanted to take fencing and that’s that like an actual thing, a hobby, that I’ve always wanted to pick up.

Dallas

Wow, so that’s like a legit sword, then? It’s sharp! It’s not a prop! It’s like the real deal. Oh, gosh! Oh my goodness! It makes me think of that scene in The Bodyguard where he gets out the sword and he throws the handkerchief up in the air and it lands on it and it’s so sharp it slices it in two just from landing on it.

Alexis
Yeah, that’d be that’d be wild. I don’t know if it’s that sharp, but I’m not going to try. I had one when I was like a little kid. I found one in my grandma’s basement. She had a bunch of junk down there and I was like, “Oh cool!” It came out of a purple thing. It was dull. It was like not in good shape. So of course I played with it for a years. Just that type of kid — I grew up like a tomboy and throughout the years of course I lost it or got rid of it or whatever. So it’s kind of exciting to have another sword. I’m like a kid! I like some toys!

Dallas

Now, do you get into any of the, I don’t know, the medieval stuff or the Lord of the Rings kind of stuff, any of that sort of stuff when it comes to swords and sorcery and swordplay?

Alexis
I really enjoy Lord of the Rings. I really enjoyed that whole movie set to be honest. I actually went to the movie theater by myself and saw each one by myself. I found it very entertaining. But do I play around with that? I don’t play like that, no. I mean never say never, but I find it all interesting. I find medieval times very interesting as well. I think that’s really kind of cool. And I think like some of the fantasy anime kind of plays on the medieval time gestures along with like, you know, crazy futuristic stuff. I just really enjoy it. It’s fun and it’s kind of nice to sometimes sit back and just kind of be entertained a little bit after a long day of being on the computer, sometimes answering emails, filling orders, doing this that and the other, having phone calls, doing life planning, all those things. I kind of enjoy just kind of sitting back and having an ice cream, say. I want to watch a lot of anime and it gets me tired when I go to sleep. Yeah, yeah, it’s light unwinding.

Hentai

Dallas

Right, and of course there is there’s anime porn, of course, as well too. and I don’t know whether you watch much of that. And some of it’s quite out there, I’d say, but interesting!

Alexis
Hentai, right? I find it so crazy and interesting. I would love to be in a hentai porn see? Like a character image of me. I think that’d be fucking dope. Really cool! It’s pretty amazing whatever they come up with.

Dallas

Because there is that porn studio Hentaied, I think, which takes the anime scenarios and then like puts them back into live action, at least to the extent possible. They’re pretty freaky and unusual and interesting. So maybe an Alexis Fox Hentaied scene is in the future there.  Because they have like digital effects and things it’s it’s kind of like coming full circle coming from the animation back to the live action sort of stuff.

Alexis

Yeah, I’m going go look that up. That’d be really kind of neat. That’s pretty wild! I just find all that stuff really kind of interesting and stuff. It reminds me of like when I was growing up and Adult Swim was something on TV. You had Ren & Stimpy, Aeon Flux, which was one of my favorite cartoons. So and I think I had some friends that were into anime at that point in time. It was just really neat. Weird adult entertainment in some way.

Dallas

Right, right, definitely because Ren & Stimpy was an edgy one in and of itself and definitely a ’90s classic.

Alexis
Oh, my god, I could tell you stories! I guess we’re just a bunch of nerds that we all get together and watch like Ren & Stimpy and all those things all the time. It was good. Good, clean fun.

Adult Empire’s 25th anniversary / watching porn in the ’90s

Dallas

But, yeah, exactly. It’s definitely a classic of the era. And speaking of which, that’s a good segue. Because of course, Adult Empire is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2022. Yahoo! So of course everybody can do the math! That means we started in 1997, the grand old 90s, the Clinton era, the DVD era, etc. So a couple of questions relating to that! First of all, Where were you in ’97? And what are your predominant memories of that particular era and time?

Alexis

So ’97! Where was I in ’97? Was I in North Dakota? I think I moved to . . .  ’96, ’97 I think I moved I was between North Dakota and Baltimore, Maryland. I was probably transferring schools. I used to be in the Air Force. And we had the great floods of — I’d have to google it; gosh, my memory is horrible right now — I’m going to have to google it, but it was like the great floods of like ’96 or ’97 in North Dakota. And I was like, “That’s it. This whole town’s flooded out.” And I transferred schools. I went from University of North Dakota to University of Maryland when I first got to Maryland, so yeah, because I graduated a couple years after that so yeah, I think I was in Maryland at the time. Sorry, I had to do a little analysis there my life I’ve moved around a lot. I’ve done a lot of cool stuff. That’s all I got to say!

Dallas

Right, which is definitely a good thing, for sure. Now, of course, watching porn back then was much, much, much different. Did you watch any porn back then? And was it DVDs? Were you like an early internet porn person or anything like that? Or did you just not even watch porn at that time in your life?

Alexis
Oh, no, I’ve always been like a good porn watcher. I’ve always been very free spirit. I fucked a lot when I was in my 20s. [Laughs] The military is great and it was a lot more guys and than there were females. So I was busy. I got some practice in before porn. [Laughs] [For me, porn was like] “Oh, I get paid for this shit. Fuck yeah, let’s do this, yeah!”

Dallas

Well, you were a loadmaster, after all, right?

Alexis

That’s the funny thing. Yes, sir. You know it. Oh, it’s so funny. Always been a loadmaster in one way or another. Yeah, so shoot, now, God, I think that was like some early internet porn. Possibly. It was really slow and you would have to wait. Like, I would just like set it off to the side. Let it load and then go get a plan your masturbation out? “Well, that should be uploaded in about five minutes. I’ll come back and do that. So let me finish this paper or something.” Who knows! But it’s a good time. Probably a few DVDs and stuff like that here and there. But yeah, and magazines and stuff like that. I loved adult entertainment. I would never have been a stripper, but I’ve been to a lot of strip clubs. I actually got when I was younger, I would get kicked out of strip clubs for being too much. I was just too much.

Dallas

When you say too much, what do you mean? You were being loud, rowdy, getting into fights?

Alexis

No, no, I was never a fight. Oh, honey, I’m not a fighter. I’m definitely a lover. That’s for sure. I was giving lap dances. I should have been giving lap dances. I was very kind! I was very loving!

Dallas
So perhaps too loving for the taste of the bouncers.

Alexis
It was very loving! They were like, “You’re taking money from our girls. We’re going to have to ask you to go.” I didn’t even mean to be. I had just really gotten the vibe. I was young. It was dumb, but you learn, move on.

Dallas
Exactly! Oo it might be hard to pinpoint, but do you remember the first time you encountered Adult Empire / Adult DVD Empire as a brand?

Alexis
Let’s see, I remember, probably when I first started probably way back in the day because it was 2010. So you guys were already around. You’re already established by that point. I mean, I could probably find out. I’ve been probably following you guys for a really long time on Twitter. Because like Twitter and all that stuff was just like starting to come out and be new and all that stuff around that time. Or I was more new to it. And social media has just like gotten — it’s such an animal now. It’s just kind of crazy, to be honest.

Dallas
Right, the animal comparison is a good one, kind of like a wild one that’s grown very big and it’s hard to control.

Society’s double standards about porn

Alexis
Or it’s like controlled in weird ways. It’s like okay, well, for you, there are these rules apply, but for you over here, your rules don’t apply. It’s just odd. But yeah, social media is a pretty wild thing.

Dallas

Right, right, you’re right, because there are a lot of double standards when it comes to the adult industry in terms of what’s tolerated. And, of course, now we got the Earn It Act of this of this at least of this recording is being discussed, which of course has all sorts of implications. So it seems like it’s one thing after another for us in the adult industry here.

Alexis

Yeah, it’s really crazy. And it’s like, so many people consume it, you know? And people just need to take their sexuality out of the closet completely. And just be like, you know, people are having sex. It’s okay. And women, it’s okay to fuck. And people have been doing it for a really long, long fucking time. So be free with it. Enjoy yourselves. Be respectful, understand boundaries, get be honest with your communication, all those things. Like if people just talked in general — it’s so odd to me that people still try to sweep sex under the rug or something like that. It’s just weird to me.

Dallas

You’re right. It is kind of absurd, because a lot of people talk about pornography like it’s something that other people consume. It’s something they’re like, “Oh, well, what’s that? I don’t know anything about porn.”

Alexis

You know, I got fans who are like, “But I don’t watch a lot of it.” First of all, I don’t give a shit if you watch it. You know, I don’t care. I’m not judging you. I’m not even asking you how many hours you’re — it’s none of my business. And that’s another thing, too. It’s none of my business and stuff like that. But it’s so consumed. And if you just look at regular marketing that’s on TV, billboards, and so on, so forth. They’re always using sex. I’ve seen more sexual innuendos on a regular show that anybody can click to on Netflix. It’s just odd. You know what I mean? It’s just it’s all over the place. So can we just stop pretending it doesn’t exist? And you know, and Instagram will just like call it out, who it is, but they have such a double standard. It’s crazy to me. I literally I took a screenshot of it. Post what you want! I don’t really care. If I don’t want to see it, I block it. I can mute it. I don’t need to ever look at you ever again. Right? I know my controls, I could do that. You’ll never be able to go onto my page. That’s why we all these controls.

But like I had a I had recently a picture where literally it was my back and I was in a hat. That’s it. You can see my shoulders my back. And I got marked for sexual solicitation. Nothing about it said anything about that. It was a famous quote, the photographer, makeup artist, and stylist so that day, that’s basically it. You know, nothing more than that. And then but I can find a completely nude lady on another page. And it’s just like completely naked. I can tell her boob. I can tell her butt crack. It wasn’t anybody in our industry. It was somebody outside our industry, but I guarantee she probably has an OnlyFans, you know what I mean? But because she’s not that Google-able under that, make it so easy. It’s literally that crazy. I get stuff taken off where I’m fully dressed and I’m like, “I’m showing my forearms. How’s that nude?” It’s just weird to me. And I think my Instagram is quite pretty, pretty tame. I think my Instagram is very tame and it’s just odd. It’s obviously zeroed in. We’re definitely flagged. And I’m not flagged, I don’t think, really, all of my contacts. I think we get flagged on our names.

Dallas
Exactly! It’s the association with porn and then as you say it’s like the scarlet letter, unfortunately, yeah.

Alexis
Yeah, and I think like if you have a marked business account, and my page is set for 21 and over. So I’m doing what I can to keep it adults only to my page, because you set those parameters. You either mark yes or no your age, when you go to my page. I think when you’re going through all these steps, you know, leave my page alone at that point. If you’re an adult, and you get offended by something on my page, block me. There’s a really nifty button, there’s even a mute button you can restrict. I will never go to your page. I probably don’t even know who you are. You know what I mean? It’s just so silly to me.

Dallas
Exactly, don’t look at it!

Alexis
I think that bothers a lot of people in our industry. I think a lot of people have lost a lot of accounts. And for me I literally, you know, I promote my coffee business on there. I promote safe-for-work products. My podcast is safe for work. I’m using the app as intended. I’m not every day with a porn scene or something like that. I don’t make it obvious. I just kind of keep it very clean and plain. Leave me alone at that point.

Coffee and wine

Dallas

You mentioned your coffee there, and I know you’ve delved into into a variety of different beverages. I know that you also have, as I understand it, a limited edition Malbec wine coming up. I wondered if you could tell us about that.

Alexis

Yeah, so I bought a barrel, and I made my own Malbec wine. It’s 100%, South African grapes, Malbec. And I’m bottling it on March 5 at 3 p.m. And it’s gonna be a total of 240 bottles. And I’m gonna give it out to some friends and family and some special fans, possibly. So as a gift, not selling or anything like that. And what’s really cool about it is like, obviously, you’re not going to want to drink it right away. Because it’s fresh. I mean, you could, but it would be better to wait a year, five years, 10 years, 15 years, you know? It’s like, it was a wine. So you want to sit there to do whatever you need to do, and then open it up. And I think the cool factor about that is in 10, or 10 years from now, you’re opening a bottle that I made. I think that’s a really cool factor that is going to be really kind of neat for people. So I’m really excited about the project. And I had a lot of fun doing it. And I want to be able to do it again. So I might do California grapes, which means I will do that in the fall, like usually August, I think. So yeah. That’s the plan. That’s the plan, Stan. So yeah, we’ll do that. Actually I’m working on putting a label together for it. And just slap a label on it, sign them, and send them out.

Dallas
So that’s kind of like a dry red, right? Ish? I don’t know a ton about wine!

Alexis
It’s nice. It’s nice. It’s 15.5, I think. We marked it at 15.5 or 15.7% alcohol the last time it was checked and everything like that, so I’m excited. Yeah, and then my coffee. I did like a collab with my coffee brand, did a collab with a local brewery Astronomy Ale Works. And we’ve done three beers together. And Cheers To Breakfast was our first one. We did that in August. And then we did Happy AF and then we did our stout in December. So we did three beers. It was a golden ale, blond ale, and then a stout. And now we’re going to be canning the Cheers For Breakfast. So we’re going to actually be able to buy cans of beer with my coffee in it.

It’s going to be it’s pretty wild. It’s pretty cool. So my labels — yeah, it’s kind of neat. Like that’s another thing too. Starting my coffee brand, I didn’t really know I could put my coffee in a beer. I think that’s that’s freaking great. I might actually like to hook up with maybe possibly do a barrel of whiskey with some coffee in it. Some coffee flavor might be pretty good. And I’m not a big drinker by any means. I occasionally like a glass of wine and I occasionally like a beer and stuff like that. It’s not something I do often. But it’s fun! People enjoy it. There are people that like to drink and it’s it’s another avenue, another group of individuals that become part of my little businesses that I’m doing, so why not? Why not? There’s so much opportunity out here. You just got to be open to it. And then take some risks, say yes to stuff. I mean, I didn’t think about doing that blowjob for Dancing Bear. I just said yes.

Dallas

And I feel like I have to clarify what I said. I said a blowjob on a bear — we’re talking a man with a bear costume, not an actual bear. Right? They’ll think it’s something really, really, really bizarre.

Alexis

Yeah, he had a bear head. It was a real man. Oh, my god. Let’s let’s clarify that because somebody will get confused. Yeah, it was a bear costume. That was his mask. I had to wear a bridal shower thingy or whatever. It’s all just like go to a strip club and dress up, I guess. But yes, please. Let’s clarify. I don’t even want to think about it! But yeah, coffee business is doing really well. Doing these collaborations is a lot of fun for me. You can buy it at a local store here. Cory’s in Vegas. You can literally go in there. Sometimes I’m in there, just hanging out, enjoying my time. And I’ve been in there and fans have gone out and bought it and I’ve signed their bags room, which is really cute and really fun. So yeah, it’s fun. I’m having a good time.

Alexis Fawx official calendar / closing

Dallas

And you have a calendar for this year, too, which I thought was very cool because it’s not your usual pin-up. It’s something a little bit different. It’s

Alexis
[Shows calendar] I have some stuff marked. And this is the one I’m actually using the marks and stuff in. Yeah, it’s totally not at all your typical. It’s not bikini. It’s not nude or anything. That’s me on the front with all the the zodiac signs and stuff, and I wanted to just do something different. It wasn’t dressing up like a crab or anything like that or anything. But this is January, which was Capricorn. Yeah, use of fire. This was a headpiece that was handmade and it’s very similar to the actual symbol for Capricorn, and it’s an earth sign. So I mean, my bare feet so it’s very subtle. Little things to tie in the two. Does that make sense? Aquarius. Aquarius is like the water. The water carrier, but it’s an air sign. So there’s air going through the sand to something very, you know, soft, the different way. See, when’s your birthday? Ah, okay. April’s Aries. And this is my Aries. Oh, wait April. So that’s Aries and then that was our Taurus. I was able to wear a little bull ring will septum in there. I’m Cancer.

So it’s something that’s safe for work. i I thought it would be something that women and men would enjoy. You know, women are our buyers; they like nice things as well. And you could have it hanging up and not have to scrape it down if your neighbor comes over or something like that, you know what I mean? You can proudly have it up and not have to take it down. And it’s also just showing that we were all talented and on all of these many ways. We don’t have to just pose one way or do one thing. And there’s so many things that we can do and it’s just also self-expression again. If I’m going to get the opposite if I’m going to have the opportunity to be creative and come out and basically vomit on the page. I wanted to show that strength and divine feminine and just who I am as a person. This is one of my favorites [gestures to picture]

Dallas

Sure. Ooh, there you go. Wow. With the arrow there! So do you do archery? Sort of for fun? Wow! I swear you do everything, don’t you?

Alexis
