Nikki
I’m doing well. Thank you for having me.
Dallas
Awesome! We’re very pleased to have you. So I wanted to start with a broad question. I wanted to ask you, if someone were coming to your filmography for the first time and hadn’t seen a lot of your work, what’s a movie or a scene that you would say exemplify the work that you’re most proud of in the industry?
Nikki
My own official website and nikkidelano.com. That’s where I have all my exclusive content. [But ] I don’t have Brazzers or anything like that. I believe my own website — I put all the effort into my site.
Dallas
How long have you had your site now?
Nikki
Three years now.
Dallas
Is there a movie in particular that you would rank as your favorite or most memorable to make?
Nikki
From my website or in general?
Dallas
Just in general
Nikki
I’ve shot so many movies! Probably when I played Shakira. I did a Latin parody and I played Shakira — El Gordo Y La Flaca.
Dallas
Right, so that would be sort of near the top of your list ofof memorable.
Nikki
Yeah, because I did a music video for the movie. And then we did our actual scene. So it was for Hustler.
Dallas
Right. So what elements of that movie and scene did you like the best? As you mentioned, the music video?
Nikki
Yeah, because it was a little different. It was inspired the only Spanish parody that I’ve actually done. I don’t think they have too many Spanish movies out there. The fact that was all in Latin, all in Spanish, and yeah, [that was] the cool part of it.
Spanish-language content
Dallas
Would you like to see the industry get to a point where it’s doing more content that caters to Spanish language audiences?
Nikki
Oh, yeah, absolutely. Yeah, for sure. I don’t think there’s enough Spanish. Besides like, saying this on the Spanish roles out there are movies out there, because I think the only one that I’ve actually heard of that’s all Spanish is the one that I did with Shakira. I haven’t heard of any other ones.
Dallas
Yeah, so I mean, you kind of have to be one of the major figures in the adult community in terms of a Latina performers. Is that Is that something that you’re quite proud of? And attach yourself to?
Nikki
Oh, absolutely. I am one. I’m proud of my culture. So absolutely. Yeah.
Recent work: Internal Damnation
Dallas
So could you tell us what was the most recent scene that you’ve shot, a recent movie that you’ve made? And tell us a little bit about about that?
Nikki
For Jules Jordan the one that’s been released is called Jules Jordan Internal Damnation. It was a creampie movie with Eric Everhard shot by Chris Streams.
Dallas
So could you talk about working on that movie a little bit and what it was like?
Nikki
There was a tease. It was a creampie movie and very sexy.

Parodies vs. gonzo
Dallas
And what stuff do you have coming up that hasn’t been released yet, but that that fans can look forward to seeing?
Nikki
Something that specifically I’m looking forward to, I shot it for David Lord for Adam & Eve. I’m sure it’s going to be releasing any day now — a parody of the movie was amazing. I saw a trailer, looks awesome. Did a really great job for that. So the movie [is] 9 1/2 Weeks: An Erotic XXX Parody and I played a Latina in the movies.
Dallas
So is that a spoof of the of the movie with with Mickey Rourke from the ’80s? Yeah. Do you enjoy doing parodies more? Or do you enjoy more the sort of just the all sex sort of stuff?
Nikki
I like a mixture. It’s always good to mix things up because it can get really boring fast. So I like it all I like to win. I like the fact that it’s not always the same every day. Therefore, I definitely like the fact they get mixed up. One day it’s parody. On day is regular gonzo?
Dallas
So you’d like to keep it with with a variety. That’s the ideal sort of situation for you professionally. So what are some of the parodies that you’ve worked on that you liked the best or that you thought turned out [well]?N
Nikki
A ton. I did American Dad. I have 9 1/2 Weeks: An Erotic XXX Parody that I’ve done. So let me see. I don’t know off the top of my head. The recent one is 9 1/2 Weeks one, so we’ll keep it at that. [Laughs]
Mainstream crossovers / acting in a horror movie
Dallas
Right. We’ll definitely keep our eyes out for that one coming out soon. So you were talking about acting and parodies and things like that, and I know you’ve delved into some some mainstream stuff. Could you talk about some of your mainstream project crossovers. You did a voice for Grand Theft Auto Five, is that correct?
Nikki
I did for Grand Theft Auto Five. It wasn’t actually me as Nikki Delano. But the character’s name was Nikki. Coincidentally, I’ve been on Telemundo, a bunch of Spanish talk shows. Last year, this company, it’s a major company from Brazil, they came down and they chose myself and Shy Love to do a documentary on us. So they followed us for one entire week. And they shot about our life and what goes on in industry. At the end of it, the main character from the documentary — it’s her show — she got to actually film a porn scene. So she likes to film myself and another talent, shooting a porno. So that was pretty cool. That was for Brazil TV. Well, there’s a movie that I shot last year also, that’s actually coming out now in New York City. It’s a limited movie. It’s coming out August 19, in New York. It’s called Jersey Shore Massacre. So it’s pretty cool. You guys can check out the trailer — Google Jersey Shore Massacre.
Dallas
Is that a horror movie? Must be! So you don’t have to give any spoilers here. But did you have to get into horror makeup? How was that experience? Had you had to do that kind of extensive makeup before in any of your adult movie shoots or was that kind of a new thing?
Nikki
Oh, it was a new thing. It’s pretty gruesome. But it was really fun. It was really fun. I had a great time. Yeah, screaming!
Dallas
So is it hard to scream convincingly on camera? Or is that something that sort of came naturally to?
Nikki
Me? I’m natural at it. I lost my voice at the end of it. But yeah, it was really fun.
Dallas
Had you been a horror movie fan prior to doing that movie?
Nikki
Yeah. Yeah, I’ve always loved horror movies, sci fi, fantasy.
Dallas
Interesting. So is there a particular a horror movie that you like that you would enjoy being in a porn movie spoof off, for instance?
Nikki
Maybe Nightmare on Elm Street? That’d be cool!
Dallas
Would you play? I would assume you would play one of Freddy’s potential victims in the movie? I don’t think you’d be Freddy!
Nikki
No, definitely not! But that’d be cool, though. I’m not sure they’ll do any of those like horror film parodies. They’re pretty gruesome, and takes a lot of a lot of blood and stuff and gore. I don’t know if I actually want to see girls have sex with blood involved.
Shooting a documentary
Dallas
Right. Right. Exactly. Yeah, that’s true. That involves a lot of production efforts. And well, I mean, there is that whole subgenre, but that’s that’s a good point. You mentioned that you were in a documentary recently. I wonder if you could talk a little bit more about that experience. That must have been different from your typical on camera experience where you’re acting in a sense, but here you were just sort of being photographed for documentary. Can you talk about that a little bit more extensively?
Nikki
Sure. It’s actually from last year. They followed me for an entire week, and they got to look into my day-to-day activities. He went with me on a music video set. It just follows my everyday life. They got to really know me as a person. It was a bit stressful to have somebody in your face all the time. It got annoying. It’s really? Yeah,
Dallas
Did you feel more self conscious in in that sort of context than you would on a a porn movie shoot, which you’d obviously be more accustomed to?
Nikki
How so?
Dallas
Yeah. I mean, you’re obviously accustomed to being on camera. That’s a dynamic you’re used to. But then you star in this documentary, where it’s an entirely different sort of thing. It’s shooting a scene, you’re not acting per se. But you’ve got these guys coming in with these cameras, and you’re just sort of being you know, day to day, hour to hour as you were saying, I was just wondering if that, in a strange way, is a more challenging dynamic than shooting an adult movie?
Nikki
Not really. I just had to be me, which is really fun. That was the whole thing around it was me as a person. So for me, no, definitely not self conscious about it. I’m not self conscious at all. It was a great experience. Really good experience!

New York roots
Dallas
Yeah, it sounds like it must have been very, very interesting. Indeed. So you’re from Brooklyn originally? Is that correct?
Nikki
I’m from New York.
Dallas
And you had a Catholic upbringing? Is is that also true?
Nikki
Ah, yes. I went to Catholic school, I have all my sacraments done. Absolutely.
Dallas
So, of course, there’s the sort of an idea of what a New York person is, sort of tough and resourceful. Do you feel that you’re able to bring that sort of New York upbringing out in your movies and in your performances and in your career?
Nikki
Maybe! I’m a little dominant! I’m very dominant! To me, that could be something in relation to that. I’m a very dominant person. So yeah, I think so. Yeah, for sure.
Loving Miami
Dallas
And you’ve said that your favorite city these days is Miami. Is that correct?
Nikki
Oh, yeah. Love Miami. I lived there a couple of years back. I love Miami. I love California also, but I love Miami. I love the culture. Very South American. Very Latin. I love it out there.
Dallas
Isn’t it true that you part of your stage name is inspired by Miami? Could you tell us that story?
Nikki
That’s just one of my favorite hotels out there. It just happens to be Delano. Ny real name is Nicole. And just added the last part to that based out of Miami. It’s a little Spanish influence.
Dallas
What is it about Miami that really appeals to you?
Nikki
it’s really hot. I love it’s very Spanish. It’s a Latin out there. Everyone’s very, you know, caring and just the Spanish culture in general. They’re just very different. In a very caring and loving and affectionate and all that good stuff. I love it. It is very tropical out there. Very tropical!
Dallas
Have you ever had the opportunity to shoot any movie there?
Nikki
Sure! Bang Bros is out there. There was Score. Shot tons of movies in Miami. Tons of movies, yeah!
Battling pornstar stereotypes
Dallas
Awesome! So we were talking a little bit earlier about your upbringing. And I think some people might not know that you have quite an impressive educational resume. You have a bachelor’s in forensic psychology and the double minor in addiction studies and criminology if I got that list correct. So I mean, that flies in the face of that stereotype that — I think we would both agree silly stereotype — that pornstars maybe aren’t bright. But so do you find yourself combating that particular misconception sometimes? Do people assume that?
Nikki
Assume what, that we’re dumb? [Laughs]
Dallas
That just because you’re a pornstar, maybe you are not educated?
Nikki
Yeah, I think so. People think that we need to do porn. I did it because I love to do it. I didn’t need to do it. You know, I have my degree. I have an educational background. I can do anything I want to do. I’ve held many jobs in the workforce, but I love doing porn. That’s why I do it. I think the guys do have a misconception because we porn, we don’t use our brains. Absolutely.
Dallas
Absolutely. And how did you get into forensic psychology and your two double minors?
Nikki
When I went to college I wanted to go into the FBI so I actually started doing forensics. It’s really, you know, 9/11 going on with that have things and stuff like that. And you know, forensics was really big in the FBI. That’s why I chose my major and the criminal justice and addiction therapy. it just came along with it. You know, I was glad to get that psychology.
Dallas
Yeah, so they all fit together in a way Definitely. So how often in your career do you find yourself thinking back to the sort of things that you learned in college? Do they they come up at all, any concepts like that? Or is it just kind of that’s in the past?
Nikki
What, in the adult world? It doesn’t really come up, doesn’t really come up at all. It’s still part of me, but that doesn’t really come up in my porn movies.
A typical day in the life of a pornstar / fitness routine
Dallas
I suppose that’s good in a way given that your background is forensic psychology. So let’s let’s talk a little bit about about life as a pornstar. What’s a typical day like for you?
Nikki
Probably like a normal set day, I wake up in the morning, go to set, get hair and makeup done, memorize my lines, do my dialogue, shoot our movie then come back home, get ready for the gym, go work out, come home and have dinner and then go to sleep. Yeah,
Dallas
You mentioned your fitness routine there. What’s your fitness routine? Because you’re very well known for having a very, very athletic build.
Nikki
I’m really into out do a lot of weight training, a waist trainer. And then nutrition is also a big part of my routine. I eat really healthy, lean meats, whole grains, veggies fruit. So the eating part is really important and also have a personal trainer, Mandy Blank. She’s my trainer and I work out on my own as well, too.
Dallas
So when did you start to get into fitness to that extent? Was it when you started to get into the industry?
Nikki
I’ve always been into like athletics. My parents are athletic. I did gymnastics. And then I stopped doing gymnastics, I started working, cardio, the weight training and stuff — eight or 10 years 10 years eight to 10 years of me working out, aside from gymnastics.
Best parties / best industry friends
Dallas
So we talked a little bit about your work routine and your workout routine. And I’m sure there must be at some times certain party sides to life as as an adult star. Could you tell us what are some of the best parties you’ve ever been to, whether they be industry parties friends parties?
Nikki
I think going out with my friends is always the best time. I guess it’s been me being Nicole and have a good time, let loose and not being a public side. When you go to a porn party, you’re always on camera or pictures being taken of you. But at least when I’m out with my friends, I get to be me and have a good time and just being Nicole, being me.
Dallas
Are there industry people who are your friends who you can sort of hang out with in that sort of relaxed way that you’re talking about?
Nikki
I absolutely have tons of girls that I hang out with all the time. I’m embarrassed. I said it’s so crazy. The women are hanging out a lot the next month you know, we travel so much so it all depends. It all depends on our schedule.
Dallas
So who are some of the most fun people to hang out with that are industry people, that people would recognize?
Nikki
My best friend of Tia Cyrus. I love Miss Martinez Latina pornstar Kiara Mia. Who else? Lisa Daniels is one of my best friends. Allison Moore. That’s to name a few.
Watching your own movies
Dallas
Sounds like quite a quite an array. Yeah, grand night out with that with that group, I’m sure! So do you do you find it difficult to watch your own movies? Do you ever watch your own movies and is that hard to do?
Nikki
I critique myself a lot like as far as it goes. Did I do something right or does it look at good? I prefer not to watch your movies. Definitely not like watching movies.
Porn-watching preferences
Dallas
I think you once said that in terms of porn that you like watching yourself you said you like girls-on-girls, strap-on porn. Is that true?
Nikki
Yeah, I like watching girl-on-girl movies. I think it’s very erotic and sexy versus just like the hardcore boy/girl stuff. It’s super sensual and sexy hust to see two girls, you know?
Dallas
So what kind of other porn do you like as a viewer?
Nikki
It’s like the girl stuff. For the most part, girl girl.
Sex toys
Dallas
So let’s talk about let’s talk about sex toys a little bit. Now, you don’t have a sex toy line that is under your own name, right?
Nikki
No, not yet.
Is that something that you would ever think about doing? Are you interested in knowing that? Of course a lot of stars get to the point where they have their own sex toy line.
Nikki
Definitely, definitely! Why not? Endorsements always good? Definitely. Yeah, definitely.
Dallas
What sort of what sort of sex toys do you like? Either in movies or just in your private life? Is there is there a favorite sex toy that you have or anything like that?
Nikki
I guess the typical Hitachi thing as always. It’s a staple for all girls. Vibrators are good. What else? I think the Hitachi is my number one, I guess.
Unsung Starlet / branding
Dallas
Yeah, that’s a pretty popular answer. I think that’s a standard. So you were, as we mentioned in the intro, a nominee for Best Unsung Starlet and I just wanted to ask you what you thought of that? Do you think of yourself as an unsung starlet? What do you think about that?
Nikki
I don’t really know the whole thing. Well, honestly, I really don’t get it. I really don’t understand what the whole concept of it is. But I’m not sure.
Dallas
Right? Because I think I take what is meant to mean is that you’re a performer that’s well regarded, but maybe slightly under the radar in some ways.
And related to that, you’ve said that, that you were interested in one day becoming an icon, similar to Jenna Jameson, sort of almost a brand unto yourself. And I wondered if you could elaborate a little bit about that.
Nikki
I think all of us girls really work hard. We wanted to make ourselves like people as far as like our brand, and I keep branching out and networking, and becoming eventually mainstream. And still do adult, of course, but that’s the whole concept about it, going into the industry, building up a name people can relate to and they can remember. Yeah, of course. That’s all girls, our goal — most. They just want to make a name for themselves. Absolutely. Absolutely.
Dallas
And would you like to branch into directing as some performers have?
Nikki
After? Possibly, yeah, yeah, that’d be cool. Like acting? Possibly, possibly.
Dallas
But I guess that would be probably, what, further on down the road? Because you’ve been in the industry for about three years now. Is that correct?
Nikki
Three and a half years.
Dallas
Yeah. So you still have a lot in the tank as an onscreen performer, obviously, I would think.
Nikki
Yeah, of course. Definitely.

Pre-porn jobs: banking
Dallas
Speaking of careers, is it true that you you worked in a bank before you became an adult? Yep,
Nikki
I worked for Bank of America.
Dallas
So that’s a very different career from the one that you have now. Could you tell us a little bit about working in a bank?
Nikki
Working in retail, working for customer service is so much different. I think working in porn and working in the bank is somewhat similar. You have to have discipline. You have to go to work, do a good job. So it all takes is discipline. Yeah, I like working in the bank, but it wasn’t for me. Definitely wasn’t for me.
On camera vs. off camera
Dallas
Right, right, more exciting career now, that’s for sure. So, in terms of your style on camera and in your private life, are they kind of similar, or are you different on camera, sexually speaking? I mean, could you compare and contrast those?
Nikki
I think it’s about the same. Well, if I’m dating somebody, it’s a little different, though. It’s a little more intimate. Ot’s more of a connection thing emotionally, but on set you know my stamina is the same. I’m high energy and high energy from on camera to off camera in both high energy, but as far as emotional connection, that’s the only difference for off camera.
Dallas
Okay, so pretty similar, all told. To large extent, what people see on camera is similar to you just in life. So, I wanted to ask a little bit about the a perception, of course, that as a porn star, you live this fantasy life where you just get to have sex all the time, etc. I just wondered if you could talk a little bit about the difference between what people see the career of a porn star being and what it really is. It’s, I assume, very hard work. It’s such a long days. Could you talk about that a little bit?
Nikki
Yeah, being in porn that isn’t necessarily we’re having sex all the time. We’re also normal people. We have normal lives, you know. Some of us go to school still. We have our hobbies. I love movies. I love shopping. Depending on what we’re shooting, [it] is not always the same thing on set. Like some days, I might be on set for a couple hours. Some days I might be on set for 10 hours, 12 hours. So it’s never the same. Yeah, I always think I live there. It’s like a job. It is a job. So some days, I’m working really long. Some days might be short, but we still have our regular lives outside of it. You know, enjoy sports, you know, we do normal people things.
Hobbies
Dallas
So you’re talking about, you know, how in the end, stars are just people like anybody else, and you’re talking about some of your interests. Could you tell us about some of those some of your hobbies?
Nikki
I like to work out, hiking, movies, shopping, traveling, stuff like that.
Dallas
Shopping, so clothes, I assume, right?
Nikki
Yeah, I love shoes and clothes and girly stuff.
Dallas
Okay, can you tell us how many how many pairs of shoes do you have? Do you have any idea or is it just impossible?
Nikki
I don’t have a lot. I don’t know how many.
Dallas
There’s some quotation from Sex in the City about that a girl can’t have too many shoes or something. They’re going to take away my “man card” for quoting that but oh, well! [Laughs]
Nikki
Yeah, absolutely love shoes. Yeah, I definitely love shoes. I can always buy a new pair of shoes and never not be satisfied.
New projects / feature dancing / Anthony who?
Dallas
So you have some some exciting stuff coming up. You’re going to be the guest co host on Playboy Jukebox Live, is that correct?
Nikki
That’s that I’ve been doing a lot of hosting. I did Vivid a couple times for Alexis Texas while she was out of town. But I’m going to be on I think next week. Yeah, I’ll be on a Playboy TV. That’ll be cool!
Dallas
Yeah, definitely! And you also do feature dancing. Is that correct?
Nikki
Yeah, I’ll be featured next Friday at Sapphires. And then June 25, the 28th, I’ll be in Philadelphia at the Gold Club. And the next month I’ll be at Crazyhorse in San Francisco.
Dallas
So how long have you been doing feature dancing? Has it been ever since you’ve been in the industry?
Nikki
Yeah, about three? About three years? Yeah. Pretty much. Pretty crazy. Yeah. But yeah, three years.
Dallas
So how do you enjoy the feature dancing? It must be a different!
Nikki
It’s different compared to actually shooting a movie. It’s fun because your fans are dancing, interacting traveling across the US. Pretty cool!
Dallas
Yeah, it must be interesting to be able to actually to be interact with the fans. It’s almost like I would think being in a stage play where you can sort of feed off the energy of the crowd in a different way.
Nikki
Yeah, I mean, we can plan our routine, have our costumes. We have our merchandise. Yeah, it’s a good experience.
Dallas
Okay, I have a completely random question here, but I’m very curious about this. Is it true that Anthony Hopkins is your favorite actor? I read that somewhere. Is that true?
Nikki
I don’t know where that came from. But no, I don’t know.
Lightning round
Dallas
[Laughs] Anyway, so I just wanted to wrap up here with a little bit of a lightning round. Just a couple of questions, last four or five, and you can just give short little bite-sized answers. So first, I want to know what is your favorite food?
Nikki
Sushi. I love Asian food. I love sushi. Vietnamese. Thai food. So yeah, love Asian food!
Dallas
Spicy, I assume? Like
Nikki
No, I don’t like spicy food.
Dallas
Okay, so next one is, who is your celebrity crush?
Nikki
Probably Rihanna! Rihanna’s pretty cute. She wore this super sexy the other day. She’s pretty hot. Like Rihanna!
Dallas
What’s your favorite cocktail?
Nikki
I like white wine. So Pinot Grigio. The classy white wine.
Dallas
So most mostly the whites, not the reds?
Nikki
No, I like white. I’ll drink red, but I’m preferably white wine.
Dallas
And finally, what is your favorite mainstream movie? Or what is one of your favorite mainstream movies?
Nikki
I like Titanic — love romance movies. I love horror as well, but I love watching romantic movies that make me cry. [Laughs]
Dallas
Oh, yeah, Titanic. So did you cry when you saw that for the first time?
Nikki
I cry every time I still see it. Really? Every time
Nikki
When did the tears start flowing? What scene?
Nikki
When they started falling in love and started being goofy together. So when they were just like having a good time, you know, she really didn’t ever get to have a good time until she met Jack.
Dallas
And then you mentioned horror movies. Do you have a favorite horror movie of all time?
Nikki
So many good horror movies? I like The Conjuring. It’s a new movie that came out like a year ago or something. Pretty scary.
Dallas
Do you have a favorite classic horror movie from like 20, 30 years ago?
Nikki
Nightmare on Elm Street, I guess.
Dallas
