Aubrey Kate Interview: The Making of ‘I Am Aubrey’

Tell us how the I Am Aubrey showcase came about.
I actually got a phone call/FaceTime meeting with [director] Dana [Vespoli] and [Evil Angel owner] John [Stagliano], and they approached me with this movie idea as being the next I Am. I don’t even think they finished their sentence; I was so excited I was screaming!! I have been a part of other girl’s movies but was an honor to have my own version 🙂
You appeared in a previous I Am movie (I Am Riley). Have you seen other movies in the series (I Am Angela, I Am Katrina)? If so, what were your impressions of them?
I don’t really watch my movies to be honest. I normally see a snippet that is posted on Twitter or a small trailer somewhere. But I think I would judge myself too much.
How did you decide upon the movie’s various segments and themes?
Dana had a few options for the first scene and we decided to make it very old glam, old Hollywood . . .such a beautiful scene. Very high class high fashion that I have never been able to experience to this extent . . . Ramon [Nomar] and I had a magical connection and I’m sure this will be beautiful to watch and see the passion in this scene
I have always wanted to do a blowbang. I have done them technically in my gangbangs . . . but I wanted a strict oral only scene. And I just wanted to be a blonde princess getting served the best cock in LA
I wanted to do a scene where it had Evil and the trans flag all apart of the scene. So the pink blue and white yoga mats made up the trans flag. Me and Chelsea Marie wore the same outfits with the evil logo made up of the trans flag colors as well
I am so honored to have Kenzie Taylor apart of this movie. This scene was rescheduled and rescheduled again. Had so much drama from Twitter off this scene. But thankfully Kenzie was able to get to LA from Hawaii and Were able to work together and have fun!
How long was the movie’s production schedule?
I think we started talking in November and finished filming in May . . . I honestly liked it better having it spread out because we were able to do fun shots
What was the most challenging aspect of the movie’s shoot?
Living in NYC and getting to LA and making everything work around everyone’s schedules
To what extent were you involved in the editing and post-production of the movie?
I have not really seen anything since I have filmed. So I am super excited to see how amazing this is going to look. I will be seeing this for the first time along with my fans.
Which moments in the movie stand out to you as particular highlights?
Having my really friends in the movie with me 🙂
What upcoming projects are you most excited about?
Besides this, I just did a big project with Deeper and was able to act and be on that website for the first time.
What has been your most challenging acting role in a porn movie?
Probably Succubus that was directed by Joanna Angel. She gave me a lot of acting roles this year and I am happy she let me step out of the gonzo and get me acting!
We see a lot of posts on Twitter about you and Elsa Jean! How did your friendship come about?
We have been acquaintances for a Long time. But we both moved to NYC around the same time. We started hanging out and never stopped. She is such an amazing friend and I’m glad to have her in my life. She always has me laughing.
What’s your favorite thing about New York City?
Being able to have everything right here. I am spoiled!
Who have been some good mainstream advocates for the trans community?
I think the entire cast of [the FX TV series] Pose are amazing.
