Pornstar Tasha Reign Podcast
Pornstar Tasha Reign joined the adult industry over a decade ago, making her name in star showcases, porn spoofs, and more. Today, she is still going strong and as smokin’ as ever. She stopped by the Adult Empire Podcast for an in-depth discussion of her career, from her early hits to her latest ventures.
Here are some hot excerpts:
Pornstar Tasha Reign on Covid changing how work is done
“I feel like I was already going in the direction I’m going in now before the pandemic, so I don’t know if I can honestly say the pandemic has changed my day much. I like that the pandemic has normalized Onlyfans. The world has experienced this horrendous pandemic but then all of the sudden sex work has become more commonplace, more normalized. I think that’s just wonderful.”
On collaborating with CNN
“When they came to me they made it sound like it was more about me than what it actually was about. This one was for Lisa Ling’s show where she goes across America and deep-dives into fringe genres of work. I feel like the adult industry, although controversial, is not fringe.
It ended up being more about people who are addicted to adult entertainment. I think it’s called NoFap, or something. I have empathy for any addict. Addiction is serious and real and you should address it and porn is something you can be addicted to. From what I saw in this documentary, it made the viewer feel like porn is such an issue for addicts, and that addiction might be more common thank you think. I just didn’t like the negativity associated with it.
My part in it, I was just trying to represent the adult industry, but the way they asked me to do it was definitely different than how it came out. My Master’s degree was in specialized journalism, so I was aware that there was a chance that that would happen, but I would be lying if I said I thought it was gonna come out the way it did. I was not thrilled with it.
At the end of the day, there’s enough people perpetuating negative stuff about the adult industry, why do we need another person and another piece?
I felt lured into something at the end of the day.”
Once again, the dark, raggedy hand of modern journalism strikes.
