The resilient Sofia Rose doesn’t let unusual requests faze her. Human sexuality is nothing if not complicated, after all, and she’s as acutely aware of that as anyone in the business. But there are some kinks that baffle even a long-time vet like Sofia! In this clip, she discusses the rise of the “armpit fetish.”

Dallas: Is there any quirk or kink in Japan [where you have previously shot content] or really any domain that you find absolutely baffling? That you don’t understand at all?
Sofia: Yes!
Dallas: So what’s that?
Sofia: It’s the armpit fetish. There is an influx of men from India, mostly, it seems to be — India and Pakistan areas. They are in love with armpits and sniffing armpits. And you’re going, “Why? I don’t understand.” I can’t grasp it. I get it in a personal, “with your significant other” kind of way, but in a sexual way, a “looking at me on a screen” and looking at my armpit, talking about it? To me, I don’t understand that fascination. You can’t smell an armpit through a screen. How is that kink working — you know what I mean? And that one really does baffle me. I don’t get it at all. And I get the weirdest DMs and requests for that stuff, and I just don’t engage with it, because I don’t even think I could film something like that without laughing. Like this is just bizarre to me! But it’s somebody’s kink, and it seems to building. I get so many messages about it. It’s so weird to me! [Laughs]
Dallas: Do you think if that one keeps building and building, you’ll have to break down and sort of get inside it and try to understand it, and actually produce that kind of content to satisfy the demands? Or do you think that’s something you’ll never quite key into?
Sofia: I’m just not going to bother entertaining it. If it was financially worth it, then maybe I would consider it, but that’s . . . on top of it, these people in these countries want that type of content, but they don’t want to pay for that specialty content, that they should just be given it, which is pretty common for that area. They’re like that in general. So I wouldn’t do it unless I felt like it was a really popular trend that was going to, you know, result in some sort of financial benefit. But there’s other kinks like that that don’t bother me, and even if they’re not completely moneymakers, I’ll film them for the entertainment aspect of it or the comedic aspect of it. Because some things are just funny to me. And I think the organic-ness of the humor in whatever it is I’m doing sometimes makes it better content.
