Emily Willis: 2020 Adult Empire Pornstar of the Year

In 2020, one of the most unusual and trying years the world has seen in decades, Willis not only survived but thrived. She built a brand and an image that will live on for a long, long time. That’s why we’re glad to name her the 2020 Adult Empire Pornstar of the Year!
There was no movie that better embodied that feisty “do it all” pluck than Jules Jordan Video’s The Insatiable Emily Willis. (It’s a further testament to Willis’s star power that previous installments of this same series featured acknowledged legends such as Alexis Texas and Samantha Saint.) “Have you ever seen such a perfect slut?” the movie’s tagline playfully asks. Once you’ve seen Emily in action, you’ll have a firm answer to that question!
While Willis most certainly can carry an entire movie, she has also shown a comfortable ease in supporting roles. If ever there’s been a year that needed team players of all sorts, it’s 2020! Willis has shown that spirit in her professional life by taking up less showy but equally masterful supporting parts in movies like Influence (which was toplined by Elsa Jean).
Willis’s amazing year has also been reflected in the award nominations she has scored. For example, she netted a remarkable 17 nods for the upcoming 2021 AVN Awards. “I am so blown away and thankful for 17 AVN Award nominations. You always hope you get something, but this is above and beyond amazing,” Willis told AVN in reaction to the announcement. It’s also abundantly clear that Emily also tries to push herself to even greater heights. As she told AVN in an earlier interview, “I just constantly feel like I can do more and there’s room for growth. I’m happy. I’m thankful. But I’m never like ‘Ok, cool. My work’s done. I’m chillin’. I’ve achieved what I wanted.'”
Adult Empire saw Emily’s potential for stardom early on. AE official reviewer Willy Milano noted in a movie recap that this “hot brunette has a lot of potential in the industry if she plays her cards right because she’s very charismatic, and she makes sex with her look very enjoyable!” Adult Empire blogger Madison correctly predicted that Emily would be one of the hottest stars of 2020, noting, “There’s something about Emily’s look that exudes positivity. You can tell she loves her job and aims for success in all roles she plays.” Willis came to the industry thanks to her enthusiasm for modeling, which led her pursue an opportunity in porn when she met a content creator (via Tinder, no less)!
Willis dethrones Angela White, who won the award in 2019 and 2018 (the inaugural edition of the award). It’s no coincidence that Willis’s talents mirror those of White in many ways, albeit in an earlier stage of her career.
