The Rundown: ‘The Lustful Wife Vol. 2’ (VOD Exclusive)

Kay Brandt, Selena Kitt, and Adam & Eve join forces for a sequel to The Lustful Wife, an adaptation of Kitt’s book about the titular hero (Penny Pax) and her efforts to reinvigorate her sex life after a shocking discovery. This second installment extends Pax’s explorations by having her enjoy a lesbian experience for the first time, with the adventurous Michelle (Joanna Angel, taking over for Bridgette B, who played a similar role in part one). But Tara’s daring sexual journey doesn’t stop there . . . the movie includes swingers, double penetration, and much more!
Scene highlight
Though Tara, the first movie’s protagonist, does return for a sizable role, the movie’s overall focus shifts to Joanna Angel’s character. She’s established as a sexual force to be reckoned with in an early scene showing her in a rollicking double penetration (with husband and friend). The scene has a certain added poignancy in that it was apparently the last DP segment she shot prior to the onset of the COVID pandemic, which has largely halted production. “This was the last time I had two cocks and lord knows when the hell it will happen again. I will cherish this DP forever,” Angel noted in a recent tweet.
Cast
Penny Pax is the sole returning cast member from the first movie. While part one’s supporting players were hard to match, Lustful Wife 2 corrals a selection of stars that’s just as impressive in the end: Joanna Angel (taking center stage and the cover shot this time), Ramon Nomar (whose smooth cosmopolitan charm has always made him apt for roles in couples-style porn), the affable Derrick Pierce, Penthouse Pet Gianna Dior, Sarah Vandella, and more.

Why we love it
Porn sequels are often an iffy proposition. They either leave the innovations of the first installment behind, or they hew so closely to the original’s formula that they do little to set themselves apart. Thankfully, Lustful Wife 2 falls into neither of these traps. It wisely brings back Penny Pax for a strong sense of continuity with part one, but it also adds enough new flavor (particularly with the presence of Joanna Angel) to be an entirely fresh experience. Much like Brandt’s other movies, it may seem on the surface like Lustful Wife 2 is aimed at women and couples, yet it has a broad appeal that should win over porn fans of all types.
