How did you get into the industry?
I did a couple of scenes with a male talent friend of mine in which I wore a mask to hide my identity. Unfortunately someone outed me to my job which resulted to me getting fired and here I am in the industry full-time. I wasn’t planning on doing this full time at least not yet. I truly enjoyed teaching but due to some unfortunate events, I have had to quickly jump into it. I am glad I did because I am enjoying myself.
How did you choose your stage name?
I’ve always loved crystals and I used to collect them. I incorporate that to a more common name with a slightly different spelling hence “Krystal Davis.”
What are your memories about your very first adult scene?
I remember getting ready and my hands were shaking. I was very nervous and excited at the same time. But what struck me the most is the work that goes with it prior to even starting. I didn’t realize the work behind the camera that needed to happen. But as soon as we started I was relaxed and actually enjoyed the whole scene as if I wasn’t even camera.
What are the best qualities in a co-star and/or porn director?
As a co-star I think it’s both our responsibility to make each other look good. It’s not all about the skills but the coordination between each other. Knowing what we can do to help each other give our best to the scene is what really makes the scene great. As a director, being prepared ahead of time is important to the performers knowing our story line, script, wardrobe etc is really helpful to me.
What are your plans for 2020?
I only started full time in this industry last August and since then I’ve really hustled to get as much content as I can to develop my portfolio. This year I was hoping to be more selective and only do the ones that I really want and really focus on branding.
Let’s talk genres! What’s your take on the following types of porn (either as a viewer or as a performer):

I’ll be honest I didn’t think we were so unprepared for this kind of thing. I used to work in a hospital system and I knew we would hold a meeting in being prepared for a calamity or epidemic. I just didn’t realize that the country as a whole was unprepared.
What was the first instance of it impacting your day-to-day life and career?
Well, I was on travel when everything started to get serious. I came home after being away for two weeks and a few days after that I started feeling sick. So I started isolating myself just in case. To make the story short, I am still impacted not only because I cannot do any work but I am on quarantine awaiting my test results from two weeks ago. Unfortunately it only affected my work life but also my family because I have not been able to be around them and care for them.
What have you been doing during the period when it’s been recommended to stay mostly at home?
The first two weeks I was pretty much in bed from having the flu. When my fever was gone I continued to have a cough which in turn became an upper respiratory infection which resulted in me being tested for the virus. Now I’m receiving the treatments at home, I can at least catch up responding to DMs, editing my content, scanning and filing paperwork in between breathing treatments and resting. I would love to be able to go back to going on soon though.
What long-term impacts do you see the crisis having on the adult industry?
I think many are struggling with having new content to put out because they’re not able to make any new ones. That will affect their ability to earn, especially those who need to work with production companies or other talents
Many people now are working at home and have to appear in webcam video conferences. From an adult star’s perspective, what are the keys to looking good on a webcam?
Lighting, high speed internet and keeping the people on the other side of the webcam engaged.
Love or hate social media and why?
Love and hate it! I think it’s good for advertising and exposure but it does take a lot of time especially if you have multiple platforms and sometimes multiple accounts.
What was your career before porn?
Prior to porn, I taught special needs kids shy of 15 years. Before that, I used to work in a hospital system.
Who is your best friend in the industry?
I have a few that I hold dear in my heart for different reasons. They are Aubrey Black, FitSid, Gorgeous Aphro, Kiki D’Aire, Summer Hart, and Shelby Paris. Will Tile who got me into this industry will always be the very best of them all.

That’s a tough question to answer these days. But I think it’s not so much of where it’s wherever I am, I would like my loved ones to be around or closer to me.
Give some advice to anyone looking to join the industry.
Know what you want but be willing to be flexible. It’s a lot of hard work but you can make it fun. Be aware of what it takes to get into it, the testing, paperwork, time to shoot and finding talents to work with. Be true to yourself!
What shows did you binge watch while staying home due to the coronavirus?
I finally went back to the shows that I used to watch but never finished the seasons: Originals, Vampire Diaries, Legacies (because they’re all connected) NCIS, BlackList, Persons of Interests, and there’s more! Remember I’m still in bed for the most part of the day.
Tell everyone why it’s important to pay for your porn.
Because we as performers had to spend our own money to create it. At the very least we had to spend money for our testing but sometimes we have to pay the talent, the photographer, videographer and location for the shoot. Not to mention the time to make it, edit it and make it available for everyone. So you see we have invested quite a bit on our work so we would appreciate it if they invest on us.
Explain some of the most common misconceptions about the “hotwife” phenomenon.
First, I think people think that hotwives are unhappy with their marriage or their husbands can satisfy them that they need another man. It can’t be further from the truth in fact hotwives are in solid marriage that is why they can enjoy other men’s company without worry.
