Code of Honor
For budgetary and logistical reasons, creating a porn movie with an action-movie theme is always tricky, but Digital Playground has shown a particular knack for it over the years. Busty babes and big guns are a winning combination, particularly when the cast of luminaries featured here (Jesse Jane, Stoya, Riley Steele, and many more) are assembled as a crack team ready to enforce the titular “code of honor.” The superstar team-up quality of the ensemble deliberately evokes mainstream action blockbusters like The Expendables, but thankfully you’ll get an eyeful of beautiful contract-star bodies rather than that of the aging cast of that particular series.

Teen Wonderland
Before Mia Khalifa, there was Belle Knox. Like Khalifa, Knox rocketed to fame after mainstream controversy, only to depart the industry after a relatively few number of shoots. Knox’s infamy stemmed from the fact that she was also a Duke undergraduate whose side career had become the subject of campus rumors. She was even the protagonist of a Lifetime movie of the week! Cherry Episode 1
If you loved Unfolding and Babysitting the Baumgartners (and judging by Adult Empire’s VOD bestseller rankings, many of you do), you’ll definitely want a taste of Cherry. It was a buzzy, high-profile hit for Digital Playground when it first appeared in 2011, thanks to its high budget and all girl/girl theme (a first for Digital Playground at the time). Adapted by Unfolding and Baumgartners director Kay Brandt from her own erotic stories, Cherry chronicles the complex drives of its title character, a strip-club owner played by Judy Thompson (a mainstream actor whose only credits in porn have come in non-sex roles). The movie’s unusual, literary premise lends itself to particularly memorable sex scenes. “I will remember the sex I had in this movie for the rest of my life,” star Riley Steele told AVN. “It was so intense, both physically and mentally. My scenes with Lux Kassidy, Nina Mercedes, and Sinn Sage were so incredibly meaningful and intimate. We totally forgot the cameras were even there.”
