BDSM Furniture . . . for Dolls?
What comes to mind when you think of dollhouse furniture? A dainty little dining room set, perhaps, or a cute davenport, complete with ornate woodwork. In the bedroom, there might be a canopy bed and delicate wash bin. What happens when you descend into the dollhouse basement and discover a dungeon of pain and misery, BDSM style? Well, there’s dollhouse furniture for that room in the house, too, believe it or not!
It comes courtesy a Russian Etsy artist named Mick, whose specialty is crafting BDSM goodies fit for your doll collection! “If you want to get the original product for yourself or your loved one, write your thoughts, we will think of something. So I’m very happy to see You in my etsy store,” he notes rather innocently on his “About Me” page. This all sounds quite normal, until you scan the items he’s offering. BDSM strut? Doll pillory? And even . . . Barbie BDSM? (That last one is an elaborate bondage stocks.) Dolls from Mick’s own collection appear in the pics to demonstrate how each bit of custom-made furniture is used. (Mick is tasteful in his presentation, though, obscuring any doll nudity with a banner that says “mature.”)
Tiny proportions aside, the shop’s wares are reminiscent of the ones created by Saxon Dungeon Furniture, a BDSM furniture builder profiled by VICE earlier this year. Even so, Mick’s goods will be much easier on your pocketbook, with prices mostly under $75, compared to the $1,000 tags on many of the full-size pieces from SDF.
