Jessica Drake Will Host the 2018 XBIZ Award Show

The hosting gig for the XBIZ Awards is a prestigious honor, generally only given to a performer whose combination of charisma and star power is up to carrying an event of such magnitude. The pick for 2018 certainly follows nicely in the pattern of previous mega-watt hosts such as Ron Jeremy: it’s actor, director and educator Jessica Drake!

“To be chosen to host the XBIZ Awards for the second time is truly an honor,” said Drake. “With every year that passes, I feel they raise the bar and set the standard for representing our industry higher and higher. I am proud to be a part of that, and I’m so excited to bring my perspective and personality to the show.”  It’ll be a familiar scene for Drake, who also emceed the 2012 incarnation of the show, alongside Kayden Kross. Best known as one of Wicked‘s signature contract stars, Drake has worn many hats during a long and decorated porn career.

Alejandro Freixes, XBIZ editor and poet laureate of sorts for the organization, memorably described Jessica’s talents in his alliterative opener to the announcement: “Exclusive. Elite. Erotic. This trinity of excellence defines Jessica Drake, for she stands unrivaled atop the highest echelons of adult entertainment, with triple-threat omnipotence. Sexpert. Superstar. Scholar.” Indeed!

The awards ceremony will be held January 18th, 2018 in Los Angeles. While XBIZ chose a veteran performer as its host, AVN went in a different direction for its 2018 award co-hosts. They selected Angela White, whose career has blossomed in superstardom over the last three years, and Harli Lotts, a wildly popular cam girl.
