‘Personal Growth’ is the Top Reason Alix Lynx Loves Doing Porn
When pornstars are asked why they love their profession, most mention how it allows them to explore their sexuality in a new and exciting way. Alix Lynx finds that a porn career offers benefits well beyond an expanded sexual repertoire. In a new video posted on Lynx’s YouTube channel, the two-year vet and Jay’s POV alum says that personal growth is the number one reason she loves doing porn.
“I would say overall, it’s really, really cool to just sit back sometimes and kind look back on everything I’ve accomplished for myself and how much I’ve grown – even in the past year. Even in the past six months, even in the past month, I have grown tremendously since getting into adult. There’s a bunch of reasons why. Like every other business owner, I’ve had to figure everything out on my own by myself. I’ve had to make sacrifices. I’ve had to work really, really long hours. I’ve had to work seven days in a row, and I still continue to do so,” Lynx says.
Many people think of a porn career simply in terms of the on-camera product — i.e. sex, sex, sex — but Lynx has discovered that the adult industry cultivates many other skills. “Like any other business owner, you have to figure it out. I had to figure so much out on my own –l ike learning how to file my taxes and the best way to do that, learning how to properly caption something that I upload to one of my clip stores, how to properly promote myself, all kinds of stuff,” Lynx notes. (If anyone was destined to have a good grasp of the business side of porn, it’s Lynx, who earned an MBA and left behind a corporate career to join the adult industry.)
For Lynx, that process has changed the whole way she sees herself. “I can’t tell you how empowering it is – just seeing myself and my confidence levels and how much they’ve grown. I am pretty much a totally different person now than I was two years ago when I first got into the business. All for the better, though!” she says. “It’s been amazing. It’s the personal growth. It’s the tremendous amount of personal growth that I’ve seen, and it’s extreme fulfilling to me.”
