Taiwanese Dentist Creates ‘Oral Sex Retainer’

Unless you go to a doctor with very unorthodox ideas about how to relax patients, sex is probably the last thing on your mind when you visit the dentist. Even mainstream porn, which loves to throw sex into all conceivable everyday situations, rarely sets an adult scene in a dental office. (Adult Empire lists fewer than five movies that have dental-office themed porn scenes, contrasted with scores that play out in the doctor’s office.) A Taiwanese dentist/artist named Kuang-Yi Ku is seeking to change that, however, with his unusual new creation, a retainer designed to enhance oral sex.
The edge of the device resembles the standard clear-plastic retainers we all remember from high school, but Ku’s version also contains a specially designed bridge with ridges intended to create better sensations during fellatio. Not one to sensationalize things, Ku describes the retainer’s purpose in the gentlest terms imaginable: “This project is aimed to extend the oral function by the practice of the dental medicine.” “Oral function” is one way of putting it! (The device itself is somewhat scary to look at. Perhaps it’s just a conditioned response from years of going to the dentist’s office? Check out the pics here.)
Dentistry usually either fixes an existing problem or makes mild cosmetic updates like teeth whitening, but Ku sees the field focusing on even more elaborate enhancements. “In the future, I imagine people might want to permanently modify their mouths,” Ku said in an interview Dazed Digital. “They might get the soft tissue added into the roofs of their mouths.” AVN’s latest edition included a rundown of the cosmetic procedures that many pornstars undergo, but it is somehow difficult imagine to added oral soft tissue becoming a new craze.
The sex-retainer creation puts an odd spin on the recent crusade against proposed Cal-OSHA regulations, which envisioned an environment where pornstars were forced to wear dental dams. A world where Ku’s vision of oral enhancements took hold would presumably include porn movies themed around his oral-sex retainers.
