Lexi Belle Officially Retires

Lexi Belle is making it official. Absent from boy/girl scenes for four years, the AVN winner announced her retirement from the industry in a series of tweets.

Unlike the retirements of stars like Lisa Ann, who withdrew from shooting scenes largely in one fell swoop, Belle’s retirement came in phases. “Coloring my hair pink and being completely unavailable is how I transitioned out of a constant shoot schedule,” she said. “I didn’t realize I retired until everyone else kept telling me I did.”

Belle isn’t withdrawing from adult entertainment completely and even left the door ever-so-slightly ajar for a potential comeback. “Yeah, I still feature dance, [do] conventions, webcam and post nudes on social media and hook up with girls often. But you probably won’t see me in hardcore porno anytime soon and maybe never again,” she said.

Her parting commentary contained a reflection on how the industry changed her, a rueful acknowledgement of “out of control” drama in the business, and a consideration of what she’d like to do going forward. Belle closed her comments with a quotation from sometimes attributed to Dr. Seuss: “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.”

A Lousiana native, Belle joined the industry in 2006 and was named to CNBC’s Dirty Dozen in 2011. She netted several AVN awards over the years, including Best Tease Performance for a scene in Remy LaCroix.
