Graphic Designer Satirizes Vladimir Putin With Butt Plug

Graphic designer Fernando Sosa has put in a plug for Vladimir Putin. A butt plug, that is.

As a form of protest against the embattled Russian leader’s controversial policies and invasion of Ukraine, Sosa has crafted an anal plug using Putin’s image, complete with a typically serious expression and red tie. Sure, Putin’s name is just one precarious letter away from being the French word for “whore,” but even the Russian president himself probably couldn’t have imagined his image being used in such an amusing and overtly sexualized way.

“This is the second of my political oriented figurines. As many of you guys know, Russia is bringing an all-out war against the civil rights of gay people in Russia. Leading the charge is Mr. Putin and his homophobic leadership,” explained Sosa. “I wanted to ridicule Mr. Putin so I wanted to make a voodoo-like doll of him so people could do whatever they wanted to Mr. Putin in the privacy of their own home. However, what a better way to attack Mr. Putin’s shirtless bear wrestling reputation? Make him into the shape of a butt plug.”

Anybody else wonder how many people have actually used it for its ostensible purpose? Since it’s made of sandstone and even the artist himself recommends against using it as a functional sex toy, it seems unlikely, but stranger scenarios have definitely been played out. If so, what sort of bizarre fetish play situation did that figure into?

At least Putin can rest easy that his image has been preserved for posterity . . . through a bit of “posterior” fetish fun.
