Homegrown Releases Results Of Sex Tape Study

Have you ever opened up your horoscope and found that it said “There’s a sex tape in your future”? We haven’t either, but Homegrown Video’s recent study suggests that astrological sign may be linked to your likelihood to photograph and submit a recording of your naughty escapades. To paraphrase Shakespeare, “the reason, dear readers, is not in yourselves, but in your stars!”

Homegrown Video collected stats about amateur video submissions over a period of six months, from September 2013 through February 2014. Sagittarius, Gemini and Libra were the top submitters of sex tapes, with Capricorn at the bottom.

“We’re surprised to find those born under certain astrological symbols were more likely to submit sex tapes than other people under other zodiac signs,” Homegrown Video owner Farrell Timlake told AVN. “We’re not advocating belief in astrology, nor encouraging any other such belief, but it is interesting to see certain people are more likely than others to record themselves having sex for others to see.”

Homegrown also noted that the most likely age range to submit a sex tape was the 20-29 demographic (48.2% of the submissions), while, perhaps not surprisingly, 70+ was the least likely to do so (0% of submissions). Interestingly, 56.9% of the submissions were from women, running somewhat contrary to the typical perception of porn as predominantly male driven.
