Blu Christmas
The Best in Adult Blu-rays (Part One)
For the last several years, I’ve had the opportunity to review a number of Blu-ray titles spotlighting some of the most luscious ladies of lust like Bibi Jones, Melanie Rios, Sunny Leone, Maria Ozawa, Meggan Malone and Lexi Belle, in all their high definition glory. After examining nearly one hundred videos, I’m completely convinced that once you go Blu, you never go back. Even though I’ve been amassing an overwhelming collection of digitally encoded smut for nearly ten years, I have no problem in making room on my shelf (hidden behind a secret panel in my basement, and nestled among the skeletons of my deceased wives, by the way) for those little blue plastic cases.
Simply put, high definition, critically acclaimed titles like Elegant Angel’s Performers Of The Year 2012, Digital Playground’s Home Wrecker 4, Vivid’s The Devil In Miss Jones: The Resurrection, and New Sensations’ WKRP In Cincinnati: A XXX Parody confirm for me that great adult material can be made even better thanks to Blu-ray. In the last couple of weeks, I’ve enjoyed life-like images of Lexi Belle in Lexi, Dani Daniels in Dare, Lily Carter in Wasteland, and Selena Rose in Hit The Road. These discs are just a handful of fantastic looking pornos where the stunning visual presentation easily matches the impressive erotic content.
Even if you haven’t upgraded your ancient tube TV to a flat panel widescreen display (particularly those who are still holding on to VHS tapes and laserdiscs), there’s no doubt that Blu-ray is still a worthwhile investment with very little risk: the players are fully backwards compatible with standard DVDs and CDs; technical upgrades can often be employed thanks to firmware updates; prices for players and software has come down to truly affordable levels; several studios like Digital Playground actually include a standard DVD to their Blu-ray packaging such as the recent Nurses 2, The Con Job, The Cool Crowd and Self Pic; andeven more importantly Blu-ray offers the best consumer-brand video format money can buy, with video and audio performance far surpassing what came before, and highly unlikely to be superceded in the near future. Now celebrating its seventh year as the very best high definition format for home video, Blu-ray has is still the final frontier for adult (and mainstream) movie enthusiasts and should be at the top of this year’s XXX-Mas list!
