Ginger Lynn-sanity!
Though I’ve sung her praises hundreds of times before in past reviews and columns, I never get tired of mentioning my favorite pornstar of all time Ginger Lynn. She entered the blue movie industry back in 1984, retired for a few years, and then made a spectacular comeback before the new millennium. Paradise Visuals offers Ginger Lynn The Movie, which offers otherwise unavailable scenes from Lynn movies taken off the market due to the Traci Lords controversy. Here, you’ll find a heated girl-girl scene between Lynn and the equally legendary Christy Canyon, which is filled with intimacy and passion (fans of current flicks from Viv Thomas and Girlfriends Films will really appreciate all the deep kissing found here). Miss Lynn also shows off her oral skills with the one and only John Holmes and later with Deep Throat leading man Harry Reems.
For some time now, compilation titles of long-forgotten Lynn scenes have been appearing from various studios. VCA provides some good Lynn scenes from the last fifteen years or so with the questionably titled Strokin’ To The Oldies: Ginger Lynn, while Pornstar Legends: Ginger Lynn and Hot Shorts: Ginger Lynn goes back further in time. Admittedly, some of these collections and compilations aren’t as carefully produced as a porn fanboy might want. Fans should be aware of scenes and excerpts which may be repeated on different DVDs, as well as variations in visual quality. It’s difficult enough to digitally remaster mainstream films from older sources, so one can expect a more unpredictable range of quality when it comes to the budget-minded, low-definition videotapes from thirty years ago.
Nevertheless, Miss Lynn’s charisma and beauty easily outshine even the technical problems. For instance, Caballero titles like Undressed Rehearsal features a sizzling interracial affair between Tony El-Lay and our blonde bombshell, which eventually turns into a threesome when Debra Lynn (no relation; every other girl back in the eighties took the “Lynn” surname) joins in. And of course, no tribute would be complete without mentioning her classic DP performance in New Wave Hookers, or shot-on-location films like Surrender In Paradise and Panty Raid, or her MILF flicks such as Cougars Crave Young Kittens #3 and I Wanna Cum Insider Your Mom #23.
