Rocky Emerson Interview: ‘Tall, Tattooed Cum Slut’

At 6 feet 3 inches tall, Rocky Emerson was always bound to cast a long shadow over the adult industry. This self-described “tall, tattooed cum slut” recently returned to the industry after a brief hiatus. She chatted with Adult Empire about her life and career in this new written interview.

What were you doing during your time away from the industry? Why did you decide to return?

I originally took some time off to handle family business. After that I spent some time living in the country just relaxing and then traveled a bit as well. 

You just filmed your first anal scene in Hookup Hotshot: Sex Tapes Vol. 10. What did you do to prepare yourself for it?

I honestly don’t overdo prepping for anal! I ate a healthy diet, got good sleep the night before, cleaned, and warmed up with a toy before we started. 

What is your favorite type of porn to shoot?

All of it! I like to explore every aspect of sex and performing.

Tell us about your tattoos! Do you have a favorite and what does it mean to you?

I don’t have a favorite tattoo… all of my tattoos have been from friends, the designs don’t really bear meaning; they are more symbolic reminders of the people who did them. I worked in the tattoo industry for a few years and became close with a lot of artists in that time. 

Give us your take on virtual reality porn. Was anything different in the filming process for Rocky vs. Bad Dragon?

Virtual reality is so fun to film! It’s very different.. the cameras are different, the positions, the lighting, everything. It’s always nice to switch up the work day so I enjoyed learning all about VR that day. 

Which industry award would you most like to win some day?

I think [AVN’s] Most Outrageous Sex Scene would be awesome to win. I would be so proud to have a trophy that says outrageous. 

How did you come up with your stage name?

My favorite musician is Roky Erickson so I borrowed that and then used Ralph W. Emerson to switch up the last name a little bit.

We saw on your Twitter feed that you are heading to Bali in August. What are your favorite places to visit? Do you have any other exciting trips planned?

I like visiting any place I haven’t been before. Even something silly like Boise, Idaho, can be a great time. I think interacting with different lifestyles, climates, and geographies is an adventure in itself. It doesn’t have to be somewhere fancy to be full of wonder. So far Bali is my only trip planned for the rest of the year but I’m sure I’ll be headed somewhere else soon. I’ve traveled a lot this year and I plan to keep exploring. 

Your Twitter bio links to your Amazon wish list. What’s the wildest or most unusual thing on your list?

I have a toilet bowl night light on there. I used to have one and I love it so much! Also a toilet bowl coffee mug. My wish list isn’t too unusual though. Mainly just lingerie and books. 

You’ve described yourself as a “total exhibitionist.” What’s the craziest example of exhibitionism in your personal life?

Before porn I used to frequent swingers clubs in San Francisco. My partner and I would walk in and be much younger and way more tattooed than everyone there, which already got us attention. Then we’d head to the center of the most packed play room and have really intense and fairly loud sex. A lot of people would stop to watch. That’s when I realized I enjoy being watched and started my entry into porn. 

Who do you look up to in the industry?

I look up to so many people it’s hard to name them. The list would be too long! Everyone who has been able to be successful in this business has something I can learn from. And the girls who are just getting started can teach me things too. 

What can your fans look forward to seeing from you in the near future?

SO MUCH SEX. I plan on shooting more anal and hopefully more group scenes though which I’m looking forward to for sure!
