MILF India Summer Is Still Loving the Ride!
You have to love the interview segments in the MILF Performers of the Year series! They always offer a fun little window into the personality and humor of the star featured in the scene to follow. We dove into the India Summer interview segment of the 2019 edition (newly released on DVD this week) to produce five fun facts about this popular MILF.
1. She didn’t think her career would last more than a year
India’s been in the industry for nearly a decade and a half, but she didn’t expect her career to last so long. In fact, owing to her age (according to IAFD, Summer was 31 when she joined the industry), she was sure her tenure as an adult performer would be a matter of months! “I thought I had a good year [to be a performer] because I was not a young chicken at that time. I thought a solid year would be it for me. [And now] it’s 2019, and I don’t know what happened,” she says with a laugh in the interview.
2. Scoring the “spine pic” on a DVD was a big deal in her career’s early days
Sure, scoring a box cover pic was the traditional goal in the heyday of the adult brick-and-mortar superstore, but Summer always craved getting the pic on the spine of the movie. “When you put it on the shelf, you could see yourself on the binder. It was fantastic,” she jokes.
3. 2019 could mean more India Summer B/G scenes
“I did a lot more girl/girl this year [in 2018],” Summer says. “What I’m looking forward to in 2019 is a lot more dick action going on!”
4. The MILF craze helped sustain her career
When MILFs exploded in popularity in 2008 after Lisa Ann‘s Who’s Nailin’ Paylin, it paved the way for India Summer and many other MILFs like her. “When I started I was already in the ‘older’ category, so that’s why I thought, ‘Oh, I have a year to do all of the fun things [in the adult world],” Summer says. Then came the MILF explosion! “Who doesn’t want to see an experienced, sexy, curvy lady get the shit fucked out of her on camera?” Summer notes. “It became the hugest thing ever. MILF took off and they’re still doing it all day, every day.”
5. Her switch to blond hair was a big jump
Last year, India switched away from brunette to blond. “I changed my hair color, which shocked some of you out there . . . plus myself,” she says. It didn’t mean her shooting scheduled changed, though, despite her misgivings that it might happen that way! “I thought things might slow down a bit [in 2018] to be quite honest with you,” she says. But in the end, it was another “enormous” year. And while she certainly doesn’t know when her porn career will wind down, she’s definitely going to enjoy the ride: “I’m here right now, but I don’t know when it’s going to end. So just keep enjoying me!”
