‘Family Holiday Vol. 2’ Returns for More Christmas Hilarity & Debauchery
“Don’t tell me you’d break up with your own stepmother on Christmas.”
If this doesn’t sound like a line that you’d typically hear at your annual Christmas gathering, well, then you’ve never attended a holiday soiree hosted by the family featured in Family Holiday Vol. 2. It’s the second in a series of Christmas-themed family roleplay movies from director Jacky St. James and Sweet Sinner. “This series ranks as one of my favorites ever,” St. James told AVN. “It’s a zany comedy with very talented performers. I was so thrilled to see the first volume got six award nominations this year! I can guarantee fans and critics will love this second volume just as much.”
A loopy sense of humor does indeed pervade throughout the movie, which finds Carmen Caliente‘s character visiting her boyfriend’s family over Christmas. (No characters from the first installment return for this edition.) They seem like a happy family, but behind the scenes, shocking sexual misadventures are occurring at every turn. Observe, for instance, this exchange from scene three, as Emma Hix surprises innocent, sincere Tyler Nixon with a different sort of gift under the tree:
Other scenes include India Summer seducing her stepson (and on-again/off-again boyfriend) Damon Dice in her exterior art studio (a space that is styled to look like a prison, in a fun visual joke by both Summer’s character and St. James the director). Ryan Driller exudes his usual charm as the one member of the family who seems friendly and welcoming to Carmen. (Maybe a little too welcoming, if you know what we mean!) “Thank you, Mr. Dowd, for making me feel like part of the family,” Caliente says to Driller in a sentence that seems perfectly innocuous until you see it in context: Driller standing over Caliente after having climaxed on her ass.
In spite of all the mix-and-match family roleplay madness, it’s no spoiler to say that the movie ends with its heart in the right place, as evidenced by this witty final line of narration: “This Christmas, I learned that no matter how neat the wrapping or tasty the cookies or straight the bowties, life’s most memorable moments happen when the things are anything but perfect.”
