Jesse Jane, Kayden Kross & Riley Steele Reunite in ‘The Female Of The Species’
Like a famous band that reunites for one last tour, Jesse Jane, Kayden Kross, and Riley Steele are joining forces for a final scene together. The Female of the Species is the latest from director Kross and TrenchcoatX, and the draw of a scene featuring three incredible pornstars is more than enough to tantalize the fancy of every hardcore fan.
“For all of the scenes we’ve done together, we’d never done one with just the three of us, and we had been asking for years. Sometimes you just have to take matters into your own hands and TrenchcoatX was the perfect place to do it for,” Kross told AVN.
Jane (who now goes simply by “Jesse”) announced her retirement from porn at the 2017 AVN festivities but was lured back for one last shoot. It’s also a return to action for Riley Steele, who had not shot a hardcore scene for over a year prior to joining The Female of the Species. The scene itself includes some fun references to the trio’s past at Digital Playground, including a nod to the mega-hit Nurses. (There’s also a sly potshot at porn piracy.) The exaggerated screaming and choruses of “yes, yes, yesss!” also seem like a throwback to the more theatrical DP studio glory days. As befits the one-of-a-kind nature of the sequence’s cast, the scene is also shot and framed in an unusual way: Kayden, Jesse, and Riley enjoy a threesome on a stage that’s lit by flashlights held by masturbating men. (There’s plenty of symbolism and in-jokes along the way.)
The movie has much going for it in addition to its attention-getting Jesse/Kayden/Riley scene. Its theme of powerful and “predatory” (to quote the movie’s own synopsis) women helps give the sex scenes an additional eroticism . . . and even a certain tension! Not one to allow the show to be stolen away from her, Nicole Aniston is highly memorable in her scene, which pairs her with Bambino and features an appearance by Manuel Ferrara. (Ferrara also shows up elsewhere in the movie, as does Lena Paul in a non-sex role.)
