Kendra Sunderland Retires From Porn

After two years as one of porn’s signature blond beauties, “library girl” Kendra Sunderland is returning to the stacks. And this time she intends to hit the books (and keep her clothes on)!

Sunderland announced her retirement from hardcore pornography in a video tweet late last week. “Porn was never something I wanted to do for a long time. I’m really, really happy with what I’ve done in this industry and the past year that I’ve had,” she said, at times her voice breaking with emotion. “I couldn’t ask for anything more.” She plans to go back to school to study animal science. “I would love to work with exotic animals,” Sunderland said. This relatively early retirement from adult entertainment is in step with Sunderland’s previous statements, including a November 2017 tweet where she noted, “I never wanted to be in porn for the long run.”

Sunderland gained fame in 2014 when it was revealed she had masturbated on webcam in an Oregon library. Though she faced legal repercussions for this unlawful exhibitionism, the enusing media coverage helped Sunderland land a photo spread in Penthouse and eventually a career in porn. As a hardcore performer, she worked exclusively with director Greg Lansky and was even named as the very first Vixen Angel in August 2016.

Tantalizingly, Sunderland did also note that she will shoot one final scene before retiring. While she did not specify the nature of this final shoot, she has previously indicated she might try to end her career in grand fashion with an anal scene. She also will remain active as a webcam performer and will retain an association with Vixen’s monthly Angel announcements.
