‘Porno Things’ Spoofs ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘It’
Stranger Things was a perfect storm of skillful storytelling and ’80s nostalgia. It drew its inspiration partly from Stephen King’s It, which itself was adapted into a popular miniseries and a recent box office-smash movie. Both receive the cheeky porn-parody treatment in Porno Things: A Stranger Parody, the latest effort from Adam Christopher (formerly known as Tarantino XXX). It’s also an Adult Empire VOD exclusive!
The story finds a small-town woman named Joyce recruiting the help of an unusual cast of characters to help find her missing son. Joining forces with a spooky clown, the local sheriff and even a enigmatic girl who may be from another dimension, she slowly peels back the layers of the mystery. The movie is a throwback on several levels — in its references to Stranger Things and It, and in its old school porn-parody style (right down to the intentionally ham-fisted acting and corny punchlines). Interestingly, the original It novel features a well-known (and very shocking) orgy sequence at one point, so a porn variation on the story isn’t as far of a stretch as one might think!
The cast features Tommy Pistol (one of porn’s go-to performers for any role that requires humor and fine-tuned comic timing), Riley Nixon (whose uniquely look fits well with her otherworldly character), Betty Blaze (in her debut movie) and more. (Easter egg alert: the name of the town the story takes place in is a fun in-joke reference die-hard porn fans may recognize.)
