Sunny Leone’s SunLust Pictures Joins Adult Empire Unlimited
The sun may have set on Sunny Leone‘s porn career, but the movies she made continue to dazzle fans across the globe. “She consistently ranks as the most Googled person in [India], less for her roles in a dozen-odd Bollywood B-movies than for her previous career as one of the biggest porn stars in America,” said the Los Angeles Times in 2016. Sunny admirers new and old can now enjoy movies from her personal label, SunLust Pictures, on Adult Empire Unlimited.
A dark-haired beauty with Indian roots, Sunny joined the adult industry in 2002. She experienced her greatest popularity at the beginning of the 2010s, earning award nominations from Nightmoves, XRCO, XBIZ and more. She captured AVN’s 2013 prize for Crossover Star of the Year, foreshadowing the versatility she’d display after the end of her porn career, when she turned to mainstream success in Bollywood. Before departing the adult business, she created SunLust Pictures in 2008 in collaboration with Vivid.
“We definitely want to create movies that will appeal to many different niches,” Leone said at the time of the label’s launch. “We are releasing Vivid type quality films, so everyone who is watching will get something that is high quality but created by myself and my partner. I plan to direct, create, write and produce all the movies we make. I love the idea of owning my content and making all the money from my content.”
Sunny herself takes center stage in such efforts as Dark Side of the Sun (a punchy movie with hard-driving action and a rollicking heavy metal soundtrack), Sunny Leone Goddess (featuring Sunny’s first anal scene), Gia (a feature about the wild life of a pornstar) and many more. True to Leone’s goal of delving into a variety of niches, not all movies in the SunLust line focus on Sunny Leone herself. Stars like Rachael Roxxx, Vanessa Veracruz, Sophia Jade and more also feature in spotlight scenes and movies.
