Jenna Sativa, the Nudist
Pornstars get naked for a living, but that doesn’t necessarily make them committed nudists. In fact, Aaliyah Love said in an Adult Empire interview that she was painfully shy about showing flesh for many years. Lisa Ann mentioned that she too was surprisingly timid about getting fully naked during the initial stages of her adult career. (Tobias Fünke’s “never nude” malady from the quirky Fox TV cult fave Arrested Development comes to mind!) Jenna Sativa stands in contrast to these stars, however, and recently told XBIZ about her passion for nudism, whether it’s on camera or off.
“Before the adult industry, I was always into modeling and I’ve always been a nudist. I feel very comfortable naked, and I would go to nude beaches. My friends would actually always say, ‘Cover yourself!’ And I’d have to say, ‘Uhm, no! This is a nude beach!’ So, I’ve always wanted a place where I felt accepted as a nudist,” she said. Not surprisingly, porn was the place where she ended up finding that acceptance! Jenna’s not the only pornstar who’s a self-professed nudist, though! Count Marsha May among those who find clothes a hindrance in any and all situations, not just in front of the camera. “Before porn and still now, I’ve always been a nudist. I love walking around naked. I would go to parties completely naked and just walked around like normal. I love my own body and am comfortable in my own skin,” Mason told Adult DVD Talk. Sadie Santana also described herself as a nudist to ADT, noting, “I’m very, very comfortable being completely naked in front of everybody.”
However, there are plenty of people who don’t like the idea of public nudity. In a recent article filed in AVN’s “legal” category, AVN’s Mark Kernes summarized (and then largely rebutted) objections raised to nudity seen in New York City’s famous Times Square.
