Adam West’s Crazy Batman Orgy Stories

Holy orgy, Batman!

TV star Adam West, best known for playing the caped crusader on ABC from 1966 to 1968, died last week at age 88. While the Batman role is by far his main claim to fame, West also gained a reputation as a notorious ladies’ man. In a salute to West’s memory and multi-tiered legacy, Men’s Health detailed two of his wildest naughty adventures: one orgy that he got kicked out of and another that he stuck around for.

Orgy number one occurred when West and Riddler actor Frank Gorshin were invited to a party, unaware that it would feature more than just cocktails and lounge music. “We walked in … and it was an orgy. So I immediately went into the Batman character, and Frank went into the Riddler character, because we were getting the big giggles. It was so funny to us, what we walked into. And we were kicked out. We were expelled from the orgy,” West recounted. Seems a crying shame that documentary footage of this does not exist. The idea of Gorshin’s machine-gun Riddler giggle interpersed with deadpan comments from West, both with the backdrop of an orgy, sounds entertaining to say the least.

But when it came to sexual adventures, West certainly didn’t always end up on the outside looking in. He had many conquests during the run of Batman in the ’60s, and co-star Burt Ward (Robin) also often got in on the fun. “Burt and I were like kids in a candy store. It was the Swinging Sixties with free love and women threw themselves at us,” West said. “I remember one night with eight different women. Orgy is a harsh word, but it was eight at one time. I’d have young female co-stars in my dressing room at 7:45 in the morning.” We certainly hope that cartoon balloons with “Biff” and “Pow” accompanied all the action.

West never appeared in an adult movie, but his version of Batman was spoofed in a high-flying parody by Axel Braun Productions in 2010. It remains the all-time bestselling superhero porn parody on Adult Empire, no easy trick in a category that is overflowing with popular titles. West’s legacy lives on!
