Brett Rossi on Pornstar Life, Tabloid Bullying & More (New AE Interview)

Delicious star (and former flame of Charlie Sheen) Brett Rossi chats with Adult Empire about the upsides and downsides of pornstar life, tabloid bullying, her favorite performances and much more.

What made you decide to come back to the adult industry after taking some time off?
I have been blessed to grow up in the mainstream entertainment side of the business, so I have been one of the very few that could leave adult and dabble in mainstream (doing runway and shooting catalogs) and then come back and still be (slightly) accepted on both ends. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a constant battle continuously sticking up for myself, but I think the entertainment business is starting to evolve and become one. I came back to adult for several reasons, but the main reason and short answer would be because for some strange reason, I just feel at home being naked. Ha!

What things did you not miss about being a pornstar?

Unfortunately for me, I never stopped being a pornstar, so I couldn’t get away from the bullying that most of us performers deal with on a daily basis. When I retired, I was looking forward to moving on and living a normal life, but I kind of found myself in a predicament, because my relationship at the time became a mainstream media sensation. I was the girl who tamed Hollywood’s “Bad Boy,” so I must be a bad girl, right? Tabloids were constantly bullying me, talk show hosts were mocking my (retired) career, and the mainstream media found it to be their personal agenda to “expose” both my real life and my porn life.

This sort of forced me into this corner of “she’s a porn star and always will be a pornstar,” so I never really got to experience “not” missing being a porn star, because I never actually stopped being one… according to the entire world. “Once a pornstar, always a pornstar”. I guess they were right. LOL

What do you enjoy most about being a pornstar?

Honestly? I enjoy the ability to control my own schedule. The fact that I make enough money to be able to do the things I enjoy, visit the places most people only dream of, and experience life without having to worry about being back to work on Monday at 9am. If I feel like taking off a week or a month, I can. I’m my own boss.

What would you say is the “must-see” movie that you star in?

You MUST see, Brett Rossi Is Delicious if you want to watch an entire showcase of me sucking a lot of dick and getting railed. Or, if you are more into the BDSM lesbian thing, my new movie I directed for Deviant, Brett Rossi’s Girl Crushed would be a good choice as well.

What do you want to achieve in the adult industry?

I like to be a lady of mystery and keep people guessing.

Who are your favorite performers to work with?

Manuel Ferrera is like my work husband, which is ironic because I would consider his wife, Kayden Kross, one of my best friends. I’m really close with their entire family. I also enjoy working with Xander Corvus, and of course Seth Gamble.

How do you feel about being recognized in public?

If you asked me this three years ago, I would have said it’s cool. A lot of girls enjoy being recognized in the adult industry, and I get it, it’s flattering to be recognized for your hard work, but for me it makes me very uncomfortable. I guess that’s because I’ve had a much different situation than 98% of the porn girls in the business. My personal life and privacy is invaded by tabloid nonsense on a frequent basis and when I’m recognized it’s not ALWAYS fans praising my work. It’s usually someone wanting to make a quick buck off my photo or a rumor that’s going around about me. Funnily enough, I’m a very awkward person in real life. I struggle with social anxiety and although I’m always very friendly, strangers make me nervous.

Have you ever had any crazy run-ins with fans?

I had to move because I had a stalker. Twice. I also used to receive death threats from crazy fans who were angry with me for being engaged to my fiancé at the time. You know, nothing too crazy…

Your showcase Delicious had an unusual look and feel for a porn movie. Tell us how you and director Kayden Kross came up with the concept.

I wanted the movie to showcase the evolution of Brett Rossi. The movie starts out very clean, curious, and innocent, and then ends with an extreme glory hole scene. Kayden knows me very well, and she came up with the majority of the concept. I thought it was fitting at that point and time in my life.
