Studio Spotlight: ArchAngel (Now On AE Unlimited)

The archangel is the celestial being of the very highest rank, so it only fits that it would inspire a porn studio that so often ascends to the top! It’s not easy to create a porn label that can roll with established giants like Marc Dorcel, Evil Angel and more. Nor is it easy to craft a recognizable look and aeshetic to set your brand apart. ArchAngel managed that tricky two-fer in 2014 and has become a studio whose movies stand out from the crowd much like those of HardX and Blacked.

Developed by Gabriel Guzman and Brian Bullock, ArchAngel focuses on star showcases, each with a visually arresting solo cover spotlighting the featured performer. “We will definitely be doing things differently, and know that will be the key to our success. Even our name is different—notice that ‘Arch’ and ‘Angel’ are both capitalized,” Guzman said when ArchAngel launched.

ArchAngel has also been notable for signing numerous performers to exclusive contracts for specific types of scenes, including Dakota and Kenzie Taylor for interracial. Some of the studio’s biggest sellers have featured MILF favorite Kendra Lust, who starred in their breakout hit True Lust. Lust herself found that ArchAngel was able to capture something special in that particular effort, noting, “The passion and energy that is in this movie is mind-blowing. Every orgasm is real — you can almost feel me cum just by watching my scenes.” Mimefreak has been the primary director for ArchAngel, but others, including director/star Tori Black, have also shot memorable movies for the company. Stylistically, ArchAngel has certain echoes of Elegant Angel in its prime.
