After an orgasm, an intense wave of calm and relaxation washes over the body. A recent Scottish study suggests that those who had more sex over a span of 2 weeks had better blood pressure control, and better stress management overall than the people who were only “getting it on” 1 or 2 times in the two week span.

Strengthens Your Heart

A British study found that men who had sex at least twice a week over a period of 20 years were less likely to have died from heart disease than those who had sex less than once a month. After 10 years, in fact, their risk of sudden death was 50 percent less than that of the group that had less sex. “Sex is good aerobic exercise, and aerobic exercise is good for heart health,” says E. Dean Nukta, MD, medical director of interventional cardiology at Fairview Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic Hospital.

Sex Relieves Pain

Having sex will help your aches and pains! Endorphins released during orgasm likely play a role in sex’s pain-relieving power. A study conducted at the Headache Clinic at Southern Illinois University found that half of femal migraine sufferers reported relief after climaxing. More Sex, Less Colds

Weekly bedroom sessions stimulates the immune system and provides protection form the common cold, according to a Wilkes University study. People who have sex were found to have higher leves of an antibody called immunoglobulin. These help keep diseases away from the body – keeping you cold and flu free.
