New York Times Probes Vice and Sin in New Column
“Stayin’ Alive” might not be considered a song with deep philosophical implications, but one of its lyrics thought-provokingly mused whether “we can try to understand the New York Times’ affect on man.” The Times is about to open up an entire new line on its affect on man with a Vice and Sin section. The column, added to the Metro section of the world-famous publication, will examine all things seedy and steamy in the Big Apple (and presumably beyond). It may not quite be the same scenario as Linsey Dawn McKenzie in Bluebird Films‘ Inside Story (pictured above), but it’s close!
“I always thought that one of the more compelling things you could ever cover in New York was sin,” city editor Dean Chang told the New York Observer. “This is not an excuse to suddenly run titillating stories in the New York Times” he further noted, anticipating and addressing the mostly criticism likely to be hurled at the announcement.
The column will be written by Mosi Secret, whose very name alone seems to make him particularly apt for the assignment. Here’s hoping the Times helps to bring adult entertainment further into the mainstream with some Vice and Sin stories that delve into the wild and wonderful world of porn! Talk about black and white and read all over . . .
