It’s a Porn World After All

It would potentially seem like a trick question if someone asked if among mainstream media, porn was bigger than the music industry, box office movies, or video games. In reality, and according to a recent study, not so much. Porn fell only behind video games in total annual revenue, and was higher than both the music industry and movies showing in theaters.

While there is always some on-going debate over what should or should not be counted in the total figures for various media industries, at $12 billion a year, porn definitely earns a place in any list of significant American industries.
