Belladonna Makes A Move To Mainstream

Since starting her adult film career in 2000, Belladonna has been a part of over 350 XXX movies and has worked both sides of the lens as porn actress, director, and now producer for her own production company. She has solidified her place as one of the premier adult film icons in the entire industry. But still she craves more…Belladonna has been cast in the yet-to-be-filmed horror movie Stripped from Wildworks Productions, which is slated to begin production in Dallas this fall. The movie follows 2 brothers and their friend on a birthday outing that goes terribly wrong when they find themselves trapped in a house by a “family” of murderous women.Bella will play the part of Ginger, the newest member of the wicked sisterhood. But according to her this won’t be your stereotypical “porn star plays the stripper” kind of part saying, “Don’t worry, it’s not like Zombie Strippers! You go into it thinking, ‘Oh, OK, strippers…this is gonna be so typical.’ But then once you get like halfway into the story, I was like, ‘Oh my fucking god. This is gnarly.’”Excited to try something mainstream and get out of the XXX business for a short amount of time Bella said that she took the role “because it’s just another creative outlet. I feel like when you’ve done something for so long, it becomes so easy and it’s like you could do it with your eyes closed.”But Bella’s not the only one who’s excited that she’s taken the role in Stripped. Said first-time director John Wildman, “She was someone that…I had in mind as a ‘dream choice’ for this role from the moment we began thinking about casting. She has an innate openness and warmth that you can’t help but be drawn to. It will be a thrill to introduce her to a whole new audience and re-introduce her to Belladonna’s legion of loyal fans.”Mr. Wildman you couldn’t be any more right about Belladonna. If her on-screen presence is anything like it is in her adult work, then she should be a fantastic addition to the cast. But let’s hope she returns to XXX sooner than later.
